[0.0s] Welcome to Dumbgeons and Dragons, I'm your Dungeon Master Russ More, he, him, also with me today is Amy [30.0s] More. Yeah, she, her playing myself. And Carla Maxted. Also she, her also playing myself also sitting in the same room as Russ and Amy. We're touching legs like all the time over here. We're sharing an armrest right now. It's incredible. And Tom Laird is still representing the Victoria Guild. Yeah, yeah, that's me. He, him and also playing me. And joining us today is Kyle Glassett. Hey, hey, he, him just [60.0s] being myself. Yeah, love it. We're all here to celebrate and wrap up. I would say season two, but really, it's season one and season two. We did a little prank there. Tricked ya. Were they? Gotcha. Two became one. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We are recording with all of our patrons today. If you want to be at events like this, you can join us on Patreon because just because the season's done doesn't mean the [90.0s] show's over. We're going to be releasing more content and a season three at some point in the future. We'll talk more about that. That's your hook to keep listening. What a good, I used to be in radio. Can you tell? But yeah, join us at Patreon.com slash dumb dragon cast. And thank you for everyone who is here. We love you all so very much. And you're all, you all say very nice things and the dog is going to be painting [120.0s] here shortly. Somebody VAMP. Oh, my goodness. I mean, painting or? Yes, I think he said painting. No, I think painting. He's never once touched my paint supplies. And now I want to. He said to VAMP. But what I want to do is get up and go see what's happening because for once I'm in the room so I can see. The room where it happens. Exactly. Right. So I did a little tally before we started recording. And that's really what the technical issue was. No, it was it was much bigger than that. But counting by five [150.0s] times is hard. Pulled pulled some dates. So season one started in January 3rd of 2017. So we've been doing this for a very long time and ran until May 15th, 2019. Seemed like a long season at the time. Did. Yeah. I was only 83 episodes, 84 if you include the Q&A that we did. Wow. [169.0s] Season two started in June on June 5th of 2019. Notably, Kyle Claset joined us in November 13th, 2019. It does not seem that long ago, but dang it was. It was so long ago. It turns out it's a long time already. [188.0s] From like the before times you were recording with us. That's how long ago it was. That's wild. That's why you're a regular cast member. We met Kyle in person. That's true. That was the whole impetus of the situation as we had met out in L.A. and had a good time at the Wizards at the Coast event. And then it was like, let's play D&D together. The rest was history. Let's do it. Why not? And then, of course, season two ended. [218.0s] Just this last week here, September 27th, 2023, with 155 episodes. That didn't quite double. We're doing it right, right? So season three will be like a 289 episode season we're on track for. [238.0s] So total episodes we've done so far, 278. I just like numbers because this is what I do for my day job, is look at how big podcasts get. And in that, 892,146 downloads. [254.0s] That's a big number. Y'all are nuts. That's crazy. That's because of you guys. That is unbelievable. Russ, those KPIs are amazing. Yeah, really? The ROI, the KPIs, the element of P's? Yeah, we're just checking it. [270.0s] Now there's a new way to measure it is how many cumulative hours people have spent listening to us. Are you ready for this one? No. It's more than you think. 573,564 hours cumulatively. [284.0s] That works out to 24,898 days, 797 months, or 66 cumulative years. Wow, jeez. You guys have listened to us for like somebody's lifetime. Yeah, to retirement age. That's crazy. That's amazing. I don't know how I feel about that. That is wild. [307.0s] Like, I feel good. Oh, I love it. But also, yeah, but it's like staggering at the same time. That's wild. That's the right word. Yeah, it's a lot. And I just wanted to start with this before we dive into all the reflection and the what did we forgets and all of that sort of stuff. [325.0s] Yes, looking forward to that section. Just say thank you to our patrons and to our listeners and to everyone for being here with us. Because without you listening to us for 66 years, it might not have happened the same way, right? [340.0s] Can you imagine? It never got off the ground. Nobody was listening. We all got kind of busy with our lives. We were in Korea. And then maybe, you know, we stopped playing as frequently. So many things. Well, I wouldn't be sitting here because I would not live here. Absolutely not. No chance. [362.0s] Did we owe all of our, like, best friendships? Would I have even met my husband? Like, let's be real. A lot has happened in the run of this podcast. We owe so much to these people. Geez. Life changers. It's wild. You guys are. Season three is going to be bomb, you guys. You've earned it. [381.0s] We haven't been trying yet. We're going to really try this time. That's right. Just you wait till we unleash it. That's right. We're going to learn how to play D&D starting with season three. Get ready for the practice. [395.0s] I mean, Jess says she never would have met her boyfriend. So thanks for that. See? Life changing stuff. You guys, everybody's connected. I know. Get all deep and emotional stuff. [408.0s] I did structure Kyle's question document to end with comments that we're all going to read. It's just the fucking nicest things that people have said. So we will probably cry by the end. So just prepare yourselves for that. [420.0s] But to open and before I throw it to Kyle here, an open question to the audience and to the group. Feel free to drop them into the chat or into the Q&A section, probably the Q&A section, because that'll help Kyle be able to pull them quicker. [436.0s] What were the highlights? We've said the life highlights. What were the highlights of season two for you? Could be a scene, could be a goof, could be an arc, could be anything. Amy's got notes. [447.0s] Guys, I prepped. I don't prep for shit. I did not. I moved two days ago. I got nothing. Well, not I've got nothing. I'm still going to say something. You can just say ditto to everything that I say if you want to. [458.0s] There are a couple from some people who pre put in. So I'll start there from Chris Sifnakis. Thank you, Chris. Their favorite was when the two shows, so the two streams merged was the favorite moment. [474.0s] I think he even tweeted to me about it, which I do remember where, yeah, Mook, Clem, and Sully decapitate a dragon, a lich dragon. [484.0s] That was a badass way to come into a timeline. Yeah, I think that was even surprise to you all, right? Because we didn't talk about that before, did we? [494.0s] No, no, we didn't talk about it at all. [497.0s] Yeah, yeah. Great cool moment to be able to build towards, like had it on the docket, working our way through. Did anybody jump in? [509.0s] Well, I got stuff. Well, you said you did, and then you put your phone down. And then you started talking, so I was giving you the stage. [518.0s] My mind is only filled with moments. It doesn't, it doesn't pick up whole things, but a few of them is how thinking about a bag of dicks will stop someone from reading your mind. [530.0s] Yeah. [532.0s] And that's just life lessons I've brought into my own personal business. So Sully's Night Garden, I think about that daily at least. [541.0s] Like I have, if I was any sort of artist, I have it all, I would have it all sketched out. I know exactly what it looks like in my mind. [550.0s] That's fair. [551.0s] When Tom chose a claw for his mage hand and we were all like, [556.0s] so committed. Yes. To the end. [562.0s] And now, whenever I think in a one shot, I had a mage hand and I had to make it a crab claw. Like I can't even conceive of it not being a crab claw. [570.0s] Absolutely. You've changed the game, Tom. [573.0s] I bought Baldur's Gate 3 and I've been playing it lately. And yeah, you can cast mage hand in it and then it shows up as a little hand and every time I'm like, [583.0s] do these people not use their imaginations or what? [586.0s] No, you can summon a familiar that is a crab. And I will look more into that. [592.0s] Futurama for mine and name him Citizen Citizen Snips. [596.0s] Excellent. And when Sully invented pizza, because that's now just how pizza was invented. [602.0s] Yeah, that was fun. And this was a long season. [606.0s] I did deep. [610.0s] It's a piece of food. [613.0s] I have a few. The Pirate Isles, Pirate Isles mix up was one of my that we just like completely steamrolled brats and we're like, we're not doing your fucking thing. [624.0s] And it's not often we do that either. Usually we're like, we follow direction fairly well. [628.0s] We try to be considerate of like his plan and the effort that he's put in. And so like, no, we're going to a store. [635.0s] We want to shop, bitches. [638.0s] Hominem Sucka. Yeah. Yeah. [643.0s] When Sully used the scroll and like actively gufied our low level enemies. [649.0s] That was really bringing some chaos that was like some game time kind of energy. [656.0s] And I like, yeah, I just I don't know if I would ever use the scroll otherwise, you know, like you got to just use it. [665.0s] They know what it was going to do. They know I forget that stuff a lot. [669.0s] So I used it and I don't no regrets. No, of course not. [673.0s] They deserved it. I don't regret blasting those guys that touch Rolf like that's the other one is a donkey gate. [680.0s] That was the right thing to do. [683.0s] I mean, it wasn't it was dumb, but it was the right thing for Glim to have done. [688.0s] Yeah, I don't know if Kyle knows that one. [690.0s] So for a couple, we should fill in a little context. [693.0s] So we were on like a sneak mission to go and collect something, to collect something else, to do a thing, you know, D&D. [701.0s] And MacGuffin, you know, et cetera. [702.0s] And we didn't know they must have been from Cult of the Dragon. Yeah. [706.0s] I think so, because Sully was hiding from them. [709.0s] Yeah, it was all disguised. [711.0s] It was the yeah, it was the two that in like the opening scene with Sully that were like telling you to kill the family. [717.0s] So Sully had escaped from the Cult of the Dragon. [720.0s] And there was these two guys and they ran into us in this town and we were driving with our donkey and they touched the donkey. [728.0s] And I like straight fire breathed them like blast. [733.0s] Like in the face. [735.0s] No warning. [736.0s] Absolute zero to one hundred. [738.0s] I mean the role made it much more aggressive. [741.0s] Because he rolled great. [742.0s] Oh, that's great. [743.0s] But still it was like very much glimpsed. [746.0s] Like these are my people and like absolutely. [751.0s] You don't touch them. [753.0s] No. [754.0s] Get your hands off my ass. [760.0s] I think we've got a few in the Q&A that are popping in. [764.0s] We do. We do. [766.0s] So to throw it back before I got really excited before we actually started recording and doing things. [772.0s] So we're going to take it back to the top with Kat Waterflame's question of was there anything that you wanted to have happen that didn't. [779.0s] And it also has to be something that can't be brought into a new season. [783.0s] Well, I mean, we're going to we're going to talk more about season three towards the end. [788.0s] But season three is going to be very not connected to the world. [791.0s] So basically anything and everything. [794.0s] Right. [795.0s] We're saying what didn't happen that. [800.0s] That's a good question. [801.0s] I never get to find out what that fucking druid book was all about. [804.0s] Never. [805.0s] And I never will. [806.0s] And I will. [807.0s] I will be sour and bitter and all the flavors about that until I die. [812.0s] I can't help it that you're a scribe who never said they opened the book and then you threw it and sacrificed it. [818.0s] I thought that's what you wanted. [820.0s] I'm a people pleaser. [822.0s] I mean, when she decided to do that, I was absolutely of the mindset that that is what you wanted her to do. [827.0s] It seemed like that was the way to solve the puzzle. [830.0s] Thank you. [831.0s] And you know how bad we are at solving puzzles. [834.0s] We didn't know yet how bad we were at solving puzzles. [837.0s] That was part of the information. [839.0s] I thought it was this. [840.0s] It was like you have to sacrifice something. [842.0s] I'm like, this could open up like this could unlock my past, my future. [847.0s] Turns out my husband's a dick. [849.0s] Was in Rise of Tiamat season one there, Kyle. [853.0s] So they go into this this abandoned citadel and they get through and the cult or whoever is there is having to make sacrifices to this divining pool to get wishes and get insight and future visions, that sort of thing. [872.0s] But as the pool gets more and more things like the the scale of which you have to sacrifice keeps escalating. [879.0s] Like, you know, when you're playing Mario Party and you give one coin to the swamp and then the next person has to give more than one coin to the swamp. [889.0s] It's like that. [890.0s] So I was not I had zero thought in my mind that they were sacrificing a book. [895.0s] I was like, there are dead bodies all around. [898.0s] They're missing body parts like I'm like, you need to sacrifice like flesh to be able to get this out of here. [903.0s] And then like a book. [907.0s] I do not believe he said flesh. [909.0s] There was implications. [911.0s] You go back. [912.0s] There's implications that say that there should have been flesh. [915.0s] I'm pretty good at breaking old subtext. [917.0s] The clue's right there. [919.0s] Yep. [920.0s] But yeah, I got the book, which threw me. [922.0s] So we had to rerecord that scene because the initial response I gave because I was like, they fucking threw a book in there. [929.0s] I was like, well, you got nothing because it's a book. [932.0s] Which sent Amy off the deep end. [935.0s] I have never been so mad in a D&D game. [939.0s] Like it was I was I'll I'll be willing to admit this. [942.0s] I was unreasonably angry. [945.0s] I was like, we're going to talk about this later. [948.0s] Kind of like we don't often bring our marriage to this game. [952.0s] But it was talked about in the bedroom. [954.0s] But this was like triggering because when we played around the table and Russ like made you lose all those potions. [960.0s] So like see, look at her face. [962.0s] God damn it. You drop it. [964.0s] It smashes on the ground. [966.0s] I'm curious. [968.0s] Hungry bitch. [969.0s] Russ, I know as a DM, sometimes you only start to plan something once you know it's going to be acted upon. [976.0s] Yeah. [977.0s] Do you know what was in that book and would you share it with us or are you going to take that secret with you? [981.0s] I mean, the secret's coming with me. [983.0s] But that book was like Bort. [985.0s] So along with those two, that was gifted to our group in a crossover with Bros and Dragons. [992.0s] I feel like it would have been a better gift than Bort. [994.0s] It probably would have been a better gift. [996.0s] But they went to like the Dead Library and Amy picked this book. [1001.0s] Bort's actual character got beheaded and his soul got sucked into Flint. [1007.0s] And I can't remember what Nulara got. [1011.0s] Did she get that fucking dagger then? [1013.0s] Oh, the dagger was another time, which we can get to the dagger. [1019.0s] But yeah, like I didn't know what to do. [1022.0s] I mean, part of me is happy because I didn't know what to do with this book because it's like the world will bestow upon you the worlds of information of druids. [1030.0s] I'm like, good fucking Lord, I don't know. [1033.0s] I feel a little better knowing that like my action solved your problem. [1037.0s] So now I can feel a little hearty about it. [1039.0s] One extra spell slot. [1041.0s] Yeah. Yeah. Those moments are nice where it's like I've given you a powerful thing and I'm not sure how you're going to use it. [1046.0s] Oh, good. You kind of wasted it. [1049.0s] That's good. [1050.0s] Oh, good. It's probably a good thing. [1054.0s] Yeah. Did I did we answer the question? [1058.0s] I believe we answered that question. [1060.0s] There was one there. Yeah, I'm sure one thing there. [1063.0s] I'm sure we'll come along some others as we go here. [1066.0s] Yeah, for sure. For sure, for sure. [1069.0s] So, well, let's let's go to let's go to a comment from Amy G. [1074.0s] Getting back into our reflections from Amy G. [1078.0s] Just Glim and Thea fighting. [1080.0s] It's just a comment. Just Glim and Thea fighting and then awkwardly trying to avoid each other. [1086.0s] It was one of a moment and also the surprise Elia and Night Hunter romance were some things that they really liked reflecting back on. [1094.0s] Yes, they like you two fighting and also just adoring each other. [1098.0s] At least for me, the fighting like I liked it and it made sense, but it also was so uncomfortable because I love you so much. [1108.0s] I was like, this is so hard. [1110.0s] I'm like, how am I mean to someone like I can't at all think about like. [1115.0s] Whereas the love was just like perfectly natural and beautiful and Amy sang me songs at karaoke. [1122.0s] I really did. It was gorgeous. [1124.0s] But yeah, I liked that they had that headbutting, but it was challenging. [1133.0s] I want to I want to have more of those moments. [1135.0s] I think going into season three, because we are very much all happy family, which is like, I mean, that's that's just us. [1143.0s] But like there'd be nice to have a few like conflict moments, you know, stretch our acting muscles a little bit, not just being our sweet selves. [1151.0s] Can I come up with a safe word? [1153.0s] Our sweet selves. I just said bag of dicks like two minutes ago. [1156.0s] Just like you don't understand. [1157.0s] OK, bag of dicks. Bag of dicks. [1159.0s] Yeah, bag of dicks. That's our safe word. [1162.0s] Yeah, that's right. [1164.0s] Wait a second. We use that too much to be a safe word. [1166.0s] Yeah, totally. Sure, we never get anything done. [1170.0s] Awesome. Awesome. [1172.0s] Yeah, I guess that's kind of that said, we do play with, you know, safety tools and that sort of thing. [1178.0s] If we're ever in a X card and red light, but we've never needed to use them because we all know each other. [1184.0s] Stupid. Well, none of us would like we just don't. [1188.0s] We'll say a lot of inappropriate shit, but it's never at least to us and hopefully not to you. [1194.0s] Like gross or like like pointedly like unkind, you know, about a specific anything or anybody. [1206.0s] Also, Ruben just said the happy family vibe is the best reason to listen to it. [1211.0s] Thanks, Ruben. Yeah, that's great. [1214.0s] Profanity spewing happy family. [1217.0s] That's absolutely right. [1219.0s] Yes, we don't punch down. Thank you. Well, we try not to try. [1222.0s] We try very hard. I'm not going to say we don't. [1224.0s] I think there's only been like maybe counted on one hand any time when we've been in a session where one of us has said something. [1232.0s] Usually it's me. [1233.0s] No, I've definitely been there where I'm like, I think and there's just a look in the group that that's going to sound wrong. [1239.0s] You need to you need to edit that out. [1241.0s] You need to I usually catch them in post if there is like just an off color thing because we'll either the group will either gliss by it or there's just this hang this moment of like, did you really? [1251.0s] Yeah, I heard it. [1253.0s] It wasn't good. [1255.0s] Like, let's rewind. [1257.0s] Almost never. [1258.0s] Almost never. [1260.0s] To notice right to acknowledge those things is like, sometimes our mouths, my mouth just runs away. [1267.0s] Yeah, yeah. [1268.0s] Yeah. [1269.0s] Six years if we can only counted maybe on one hand. [1272.0s] We're okay people. [1274.0s] Good. [1275.0s] Speaking of six years Russ you've been doing the show for a while writing and getting everything planned out. [1282.0s] I believe it's Iraq and asks how much was plotted slash sketched out over the course of the second season. [1290.0s] For the second season. [1291.0s] Yeah, let's go with the second season. [1293.0s] Yeah. [1294.0s] So I mean season one was Rise of Tiamat. [1296.0s] So that was pretty set in stone. [1298.0s] Like you're fighting Tiamat by the end, whether you're ready or not. [1302.0s] We were ready. [1303.0s] Maybe you didn't make it there. [1305.0s] Season two, like I had Orcus picked kind of within the last 10 to 15 episodes of season one that that's who I wanted to be the big bad. [1315.0s] I had two options. [1316.0s] That said, I had two options. [1319.0s] Both kind of would have looped back to Orcus in one way. [1322.0s] But the first one was, you know, Undead Horde. [1326.0s] Great. [1327.0s] You know, figure that out and go from there. [1330.0s] The second one was a worldwide pandemic. [1335.0s] Oh, yeah. [1336.0s] This was before the COVID. [1340.0s] Yeah. [1341.0s] Goodness. [1342.0s] Right. [1343.0s] And it's like we started this in late 2019. [1347.0s] It would have been uncomfortably topical. [1350.0s] Yeah. [1351.0s] It would have been too much. [1352.0s] So yeah, I think there's early season two. [1355.0s] There's like just one little offhanded Leosan comment where there's like and some illness is happening over in this region, which they're all like, yeah, no, let's go. [1364.0s] Which they handle. [1365.0s] For the beach vacation down in Kalimbor. [1368.0s] Yeah, that'll work out great. [1370.0s] That'll work out great. [1373.0s] Awesome. [1374.0s] So yeah, so had had the the big bad kind of formulated, but didn't have really any idea of what they would do with it. [1385.0s] And then implementing both time streams, both stories kind of overlapping each other allowed us to have what I really liked of, you know, getting to know the little characters and playing young characters again, [1401.0s] but also dealing with the big problems that were happening. [1404.0s] So. [1405.0s] Right. [1406.0s] Working together to merge. [1407.0s] It was a nice bAlydince for a while. [1409.0s] Yeah. [1410.0s] And then it was. [1411.0s] And it got dark. [1412.0s] Well, yeah. [1413.0s] And it was this timeline. [1414.0s] I was going to say one of the things I really liked that we got to do was Carla, Yumi and Russ figuring out what were the scenes that really like, like the dark things that happened between Varanagh, Trinidad, [1431.0s] and oh, my gosh, why am I blinking on Pipp Dickens? [1436.0s] Because I was like Miss Pipp Dickens. [1440.0s] Yes. [1441.0s] Yeah. [1442.0s] Because we had I mean, we were the left and right hand of like the ultimate evil taking over the world. [1449.0s] So we kind of had to explore that. [1452.0s] Yeah. [1453.0s] Right. [1454.0s] Yeah. [1455.0s] It got really dark. [1456.0s] I might I might have taken a little bit darker than it needed to go with, like, oh, yeah, we'll make sure you have a spot in our army. [1463.0s] Yeah. [1464.0s] Look, we we lost listeners on that episode. [1469.0s] I'm sorry. [1470.0s] One. [1471.0s] One out of two hundred. [1472.0s] Someone who didn't know and listen to it. [1474.0s] Like, I love you. [1475.0s] Yeah. [1476.0s] Yeah. [1477.0s] Awesome. [1478.0s] You know, I could see where it wasn't for everyone. [1479.0s] Yeah. [1480.0s] They don't know how dark we really are. [1482.0s] We're only we're only as dark as we let you see. [1487.0s] I have no no real regrets in that episode. [1491.0s] Like, I feel bad that some people were uncomfortable with it and maybe didn't come back to us because, you know, we did try to bAlydince and it got really dark, which I wanted season two. [1501.0s] Like it needed I felt like it needed to get really dark before we brought it back because we played very like we play very dick jokes, nonchAlydint, like whatever. [1511.0s] But I wanted to try and explore that space with everybody. [1514.0s] Yeah. [1515.0s] And like just the unrelenting despair of the darkest timeline was fun's the wrong word. [1523.0s] But but fun was the word. [1526.0s] We're like, how do we get out of this? [1528.0s] Yeah. [1529.0s] And what Russ wants us to do and what we do are often two different things. [1534.0s] So I totally feel from his perspective of like, I got to put you guys in a dark place. [1539.0s] It's hard to make dick jokes in a dark place. [1542.0s] I tried. [1544.0s] You guys are like, where did all the dick jokes go? [1546.0s] And I'm like, I don't know, guys, I'm depressed. [1549.0s] We're working on it. [1551.0s] But it was good because we like there was genuinely stakes. [1554.0s] Like, it wasn't just us like in our little baby characters, like rolling along, getting lost in Mesa. [1560.0s] I'm fighting some goblins who are blocking this road. [1563.0s] Yeah, like there was stakes. [1567.0s] Yeah. [1568.0s] Yeah. [1569.0s] And we still make dick jokes because honestly, that's what I mean, humans, we weren't all humans. [1575.0s] But you know what I mean? [1576.0s] Like, that's what we do when things are really hard to say you do still make terrible, dark jokes. [1581.0s] This is true. [1582.0s] We've got to put some levity in there. [1584.0s] Exactly. [1585.0s] That's how you get through the darkest timeline. [1586.0s] That's right. [1587.0s] Yep. Coping mechanisms are very real. [1589.0s] Standard Jess, you are correct. [1591.0s] Well, let's let's throw a question out to everyone. [1594.0s] LA has a question that's are there any aspects of gameplay that you'd wish you'd experienced or explore? [1601.0s] Anything that that can cover anything from like mechanics to tone? [1604.0s] Kind of talked about that already, but like maps and mini maps as well. [1608.0s] Anything that you would hoped hoped to see or hoped to see moving forward? [1612.0s] I missed our round table whiteboard. [1617.0s] We tried to bring a zoom whiteboard into play. [1621.0s] And we just drew a dick. [1627.0s] We did not set out to. [1629.0s] When you give somebody a blank space, there just ends up a dick there. [1634.0s] It's inevitable. It's one of those. [1636.0s] Was there anything that we haven't done? [1640.0s] I hope so. [1642.0s] For me, there's nothing specific that was like, oh, I really hope we get to do this thing. [1646.0s] But I do feel like we just so barely scratched the surface of what is possible that there is like. [1653.0s] Yeah, sure. [1655.0s] An unlimited number of things we can still do. [1658.0s] Like looking back. Yeah. [1660.0s] What do you use? Way more spells. [1662.0s] She would have played the game way more. [1665.0s] Well, I mean, I'm a I'm I'm conservative with my resources because like, I don't know when there's going to be a long rest. [1673.0s] I don't know. You know, right. And I think I played too much and I didn't let my character play. [1682.0s] Sure. Right. I hear that. [1684.0s] Yeah, yeah. Jess in the chat. [1686.0s] I really enjoyed the skill checks that were bigger in season one. [1690.0s] Be cool to see those again. Yeah, we did a couple of them in season two, but they were definitely more prevalent. [1696.0s] Like the skills challenges. [1698.0s] Well, yeah, that's fun. That's a fun mechanic. [1700.0s] Yeah, because those are those are a lot of fun to increase. [1704.0s] Well, chicken. Yeah. [1707.0s] Yeah. Make up. [1708.0s] Think on your toes. Yeah. Yeah. [1710.0s] Think on your toes. Yeah. [1712.0s] Think on your feet. [1714.0s] Think on your toes. [1716.0s] On your on your whole foot. [1718.0s] Think on your whole foot. Got you on your heels. [1721.0s] To the tips of your toes. [1723.0s] That's right. That's right. [1726.0s] We got another. Let me go to the Q&A. [1729.0s] Give them a little treat. [1731.0s] So I'm going to ask about a couple of things with the next season. [1734.0s] But first off, Cat Waterflame asks, will season three involve the Black Knight? [1739.0s] Mostly a joke question for the love of Stan. [1742.0s] Oh, no. And Stan has already left. [1744.0s] Stan already left. [1746.0s] You know what? Maybe he'll listen back. [1750.0s] He'll listen back. [1752.0s] No. [1754.0s] Is the answer and everyone knew that was the answer. [1757.0s] Stan knew that was the answer. [1759.0s] It's very sweet of you, Cat, to do that for Stan. [1763.0s] So for those that for those that haven't listened, [1765.0s] Black Knight is one of our best seasons of anything we've ever done over on Facing Fate. [1770.0s] So please go listen. [1771.0s] Oh, no. Oh, no. [1773.0s] Cat said they actually meant Carl. [1776.0s] Oh, yeah. [1778.0s] Also. Oh, Carl. [1780.0s] Yeah, yeah, yeah, of course. [1782.0s] I feel like Stan is at Cat's house with like a knife right now. [1786.0s] Oh, maybe. [1787.0s] Go to bed, everybody. Good night. [1791.0s] You ask. [1792.0s] Well, to continue off the off talking about next season from Stan or Jess, [1796.0s] if the next season is brand new and we don't encounter any of the old characters, [1801.0s] what is one thing moment for each character you might want to impart on us [1806.0s] as their last memory for your listeners to hold on to? [1809.0s] Guys, I wrote touching once, but I want other people to go first. [1813.0s] I would say that for Vorunax and the story that ended up happening for him, [1818.0s] it's never too late to reevaluate what you're doing [1822.0s] and set your path right for yourself. [1825.0s] And, you know, mistakes can be made and you can always move forward [1831.0s] and learn to forgive yourself. [1833.0s] Yeah, I mean, Lidsynkey, yeah, same thing. [1836.0s] Like sometimes life takes you in a direction you don't expect, and it's a bad one. [1841.0s] But that doesn't mean that that's life. [1844.0s] Like, you get to get up tomorrow and make choices about who you are every single day. [1848.0s] And like, that can be totally different tomorrow. [1851.0s] And you can do that. [1853.0s] Like, everybody can do that. [1856.0s] Hillip goes to jail for white collar crimes. [1858.0s] I mean, oh, obviously. [1862.0s] How much embezzling has been going on between his bakery and his Zumba business? [1868.0s] He has made no money. [1870.0s] She wasn't looking for the profits anyway. [1873.0s] She's not asking to see the books. [1876.0s] Awesome. [1877.0s] Hit us with a touching one there, Amy. [1880.0s] I have one for each of my characters. [1882.0s] Yeah, we have lots of characters. [1884.0s] I love that Amy came so prepared. [1886.0s] It's so unlike me. [1888.0s] But I was like, our listeners deserve it. [1891.0s] I may not plan for game time until 45 minutes before we play. [1897.0s] But this. [1899.0s] I did it. [1900.0s] Two hours. [1901.0s] Two hours before. [1902.0s] Three. [1903.0s] So for Sully, it would be the people you surround yourself with will change you. [1909.0s] Also, you can keister just about anything if you try hard enough. [1913.0s] Yep. [1915.0s] Coping mechanisms. [1917.0s] I am childish cat. [1919.0s] Yeah, I am. [1921.0s] For Thea, it's all about the importance of found family because she wasn't close to her family. [1927.0s] And she had the opportunity and the privilege of finding so many people along her life's journey. [1936.0s] And she's an elf. [1937.0s] She's got a long life to share that with. [1942.0s] And also, like, you know, just like personally found family is important. [1947.0s] I just smashed my headphones into you. [1951.0s] And for Nighthunter, it's don't let the grief of the past hold you back from your future. [1957.0s] They lost their entire family. [1959.0s] Yeah. [1960.0s] Found Elia. [1963.0s] And Opal, who I think we both like Elia and Nighthunter. [1967.0s] It's like the most annoying little brother you can have, right? [1971.0s] Like you drive me crazy, but like, but nobody else better. [1977.0s] Yeah, that's right. [1978.0s] Yeah. If someone's bullying you, they talk to me. [1981.0s] Only I can say those things to you. [1985.0s] Yes. [1986.0s] I don't know you like that. [1989.0s] Do you get that feeling too? [1991.0s] Like they're going to get jiggy and then the door knocks and you're like, fuck this cat. [1998.0s] Yeah. [1999.0s] And I think I'm like, I don't know. [2001.0s] I love that girl's positivity. [2003.0s] Oh, like even in the darkest timeline, like even when I got rattled, it was still like, [2011.0s] yeah, looking, looking for the light, even if that didn't turn out to be Bahamut, [2018.0s] because that guy kind of sucked. [2021.0s] Unfortunately, never meet your heroes. [2024.0s] It was a real never meet your heroes moment, that's for sure. [2029.0s] Yeah. Yeah. [2030.0s] For Flint, something along the lines of like, if you try your best, [2034.0s] you can't ever truly be disappointed because you gave it your all. [2038.0s] And for Moot, like, don't let anyone shame you about your third plate off of the buffet. [2043.0s] Yes. [2044.0s] You've zeroed in on all the good stuff you want now. [2048.0s] Live your life for you. [2050.0s] Heck yes. [2051.0s] These are good words to live by. [2053.0s] We all learned so much and grew so much. [2055.0s] I know. [2056.0s] Right? [2057.0s] It's a wild journey. [2059.0s] So this is like a combination of two of the questions that have been asked. [2063.0s] What details do you wish you had got to explore and what do you impart? [2067.0s] Like the Pirate Isle one, like I feel, I, so it does exist. [2073.0s] Like it exists over in Space Poddy, which is the only four episodes they've ever released. [2078.0s] So it's like a little side Dumtion's feed that you can go listen to. [2083.0s] But so, Hillup, what you would have found on that Pirate Isle journey. [2088.0s] I don't know if anybody on the call has listened to it. [2091.0s] No, I actually have not. [2093.0s] Okay, cool. [2094.0s] So this is going to be surprising for you all. [2096.0s] Hillup is clones. [2100.0s] Hillup was created and cloned and you would have come across like the [2106.0s] The wonderful Paradise Island where Hillups are just all there. [2110.0s] It's how he shows up everywhere and is always running up behind you going, hey, you guys, [2115.0s] because there's a hill up in every fucking town. [2119.0s] Okay, so we could have gotten rid of him, but we would have found him again. [2122.0s] It's like Officer Jenny or Newstarch Joy. [2125.0s] Yeah. [2126.0s] Oh my God. [2127.0s] So the Abyss. [2130.0s] So there's an unlimited number of Grandsises. [2133.0s] And an unlimited number of Hillups. [2137.0s] Grandsises not cloned. [2139.0s] They're just other other time streams. [2141.0s] But Hillup was created as like this clone servant. [2144.0s] I mean, it does. [2145.0s] Oh, like in Rick and Morty. [2147.0s] Did you ever kill any Hillups? [2150.0s] No, no, no. [2151.0s] No, no. [2152.0s] Hillups died. [2153.0s] Wasn't I think I was shot by an arrow? [2154.0s] Shot in the knee though. [2156.0s] That was by me. [2157.0s] Yeah. [2158.0s] Whoops. [2159.0s] Whoops. [2160.0s] Also, if you want to know the name of Cruelty, his name is Russell. [2164.0s] What? [2165.0s] Unlimited number of the two NPCs where we're like, God, you irritate me so much. [2170.0s] I think I saw a question here from Lawrence. [2175.0s] Yeah. [2176.0s] Hillup or Grantsis, who's hated more? [2179.0s] That's a good question. [2180.0s] That's up to you. [2181.0s] I love them both. [2182.0s] I love them both too. [2184.0s] Grantsis. [2185.0s] You hate Grantsis more? [2186.0s] Yeah, or our characters hate more. [2189.0s] I mean, either one. [2190.0s] Amy hates Hillup more. [2192.0s] Fuck that guy. [2193.0s] Oh, OK. [2194.0s] Sia hates Grantsis more. [2195.0s] But I mean, at the end, you realize that like sometimes you can't also choose [2199.0s] your found family. [2200.0s] Yeah. [2201.0s] Sometimes they're just there. [2202.0s] Yeah. [2203.0s] Yeah, sometimes. [2204.0s] I think Moot would just be like bemused by Hillup. [2206.0s] Yeah. [2207.0s] Yeah. [2208.0s] Like, oh, there's Hillup doing his thing again. [2210.0s] And Glim, like, I mean, they were working together. [2214.0s] I mean, yes, he was fleecing her completely. [2218.0s] 100 percent. [2219.0s] She probably didn't even care, honestly. [2221.0s] She must need the money. [2223.0s] Yeah. [2224.0s] Oh, my God. [2225.0s] Where was all that money going? [2227.0s] Who was making the Hillups? [2229.0s] Did they get all the money? [2230.0s] Oh, it's just white collar crime. [2232.0s] It's just there was some corporation that made this. [2234.0s] Hillup is a pyramid scheme. [2236.0s] No. [2237.0s] Now, what things can't go into the third season now? [2240.0s] We have a pyramid scheme. [2241.0s] What's that, Kyle? [2242.0s] Now, what things can't go into the third season? [2245.0s] Uh-huh. [2246.0s] Uh-huh. [2247.0s] Oh, my goodness. [2249.0s] Uh-oh. [2250.0s] Yes. [2251.0s] They're the weird uncles you invite to weddings because they're not unpleasant. [2254.0s] Yeah. [2255.0s] This is it. [2256.0s] Like, they are total weirdos. [2257.0s] Oh, Sam. [2258.0s] But like, they're not malicious. [2259.0s] Harmless. [2260.0s] Yeah. [2261.0s] Harmless weirdos. [2262.0s] Grantsis, I don't even hate. [2264.0s] I just love to pretend to hate because it's so fun. [2268.0s] It is. [2269.0s] We got a few comments in the Q&A I'm going to run through real quick. [2273.0s] Even pancakes. [2274.0s] I reckon says the darkest timeline is when the podcast went from good to great. [2279.0s] So thank you. [2281.0s] That's super nice. [2282.0s] I'm glad you liked it. [2283.0s] That's when we got Kyle. [2284.0s] That's when Kyle popped in there. [2286.0s] Regular cast member Kyle Placid. [2288.0s] That's when we really hooked him in. [2289.0s] We seeded with a little bit of Kyle early in 2019, but then really brought [2293.0s] him back in that straight. [2295.0s] We're like, do you want to come back for a small arc? [2297.0s] Yeah. [2298.0s] Just four years later. [2301.0s] Yeah. [2302.0s] This is how we make friends. [2303.0s] Yeah. [2304.0s] It's OK. [2305.0s] I liked it. [2306.0s] It was a good way to make friends for me, too. [2308.0s] So I appreciate y'all wanting me to come back. [2311.0s] Catwater Flame also says, I love the running gag of Sully's jobs. [2316.0s] Yeah. [2317.0s] So many jobs. [2318.0s] So funny. [2319.0s] Always good. [2320.0s] It is very funny. [2321.0s] And then we had a little glim meeting Bahamut. [2324.0s] So those are some good moments that got mentioned in our Q&A here. [2330.0s] Nice appointment in your voice. [2332.0s] Well, because it started out OK, right? [2334.0s] Like he was like a chill dude. [2336.0s] And it was fun. [2337.0s] So cool. [2338.0s] And he's in his hammock, and it all seemed OK. [2340.0s] All right, all right. [2342.0s] All right, all right. [2343.0s] He was Matthew McConaughey. [2345.0s] Love hated him for that. [2346.0s] And then he was just as like. [2348.0s] Just fucking TMS. [2350.0s] Fucking. [2351.0s] Yeah. [2352.0s] And like not making deals. [2355.0s] And then he opened his mouth. [2357.0s] Yes. [2358.0s] Yes. [2359.0s] Yes. [2360.0s] Yeah. [2361.0s] Oh, we missed Kat's first one. [2362.0s] Yes. [2363.0s] Yes. [2364.0s] And Kat loved the whole moot board situation. [2366.0s] So. [2367.0s] Oh, fun. [2368.0s] I love what you guys did with it because like Russ said, like it was like we didn't [2373.0s] choose the Flint board situation. [2375.0s] Yeah. [2376.0s] That was thrust upon us. [2377.0s] Yeah. [2378.0s] But I loved it. [2379.0s] Like it. [2380.0s] Yeah. [2381.0s] I didn't. [2382.0s] It made me cry. [2383.0s] Oh, I know. [2384.0s] But for that reason, it added a lot of like emotion. [2387.0s] OK. [2388.0s] Honesty. [2389.0s] I only just listened to the last episode, like two hours ago. [2393.0s] So she'd only just prepped before. [2395.0s] I'm in the corner of the couch. [2398.0s] Just like I was listening on two speed so I can make sure that I can listen to [2403.0s] the entirety just so that like my my brain is fresh. [2406.0s] And then I had to slow it down to one speed when Tom and I had our thing. [2409.0s] And I was like, I know. [2412.0s] Oh, yeah. [2413.0s] I was like, oh, my God, I sound so sad. [2415.0s] And then once you get Tom. [2417.0s] Oh, my goodness. [2419.0s] Like the voice crack. [2420.0s] I was like, yes. [2421.0s] It was my whole goal. [2422.0s] Yeah. [2423.0s] There was some solid like that. [2426.0s] A lot of survivors guilt that lives in the. [2428.0s] Yeah, for sure. [2430.0s] I mean, it's tough. [2431.0s] Yeah. [2432.0s] So that's that's actually one question we have from old school gamer is [2435.0s] they can't help but wonder and my name is D. [2438.0s] What is the head space now? [2440.0s] Even at the end, she seemed reluctant to go with the group. [2443.0s] Mm hmm. [2445.0s] I know this is labeled the head for that. [2448.0s] Let me tell you something. [2449.0s] Yeah, I do. [2452.0s] OK, so. [2455.0s] In the end, she did decide to go with the group because found family and [2461.0s] the is not like. [2464.0s] I feel like she needs to be with people. [2466.0s] We needed you to, like, come be an adult. [2471.0s] You're the only one who's a thousand plus years old. [2473.0s] So it's true. [2474.0s] Yeah, I guess I'd live a long time. [2477.0s] But she definitely found someone to talk to about all the loss that she [2480.0s] experienced. [2481.0s] She went out and sought someone in what the whatever village we decided to [2486.0s] settle ourselves into. [2488.0s] She lives with Donnie and guacamole in the forest, just the three of them, [2493.0s] but she visits her friends often. [2496.0s] They've got like a weekly dinner thing going on and she's slowly finding [2500.0s] peace as she helps the trees and plants to regrow and the animals to [2504.0s] thrive because healing them helps to heal bits of her heart. [2508.0s] But she is worried one day that she is going to be dragged out of [2511.0s] retirement for just one more job. [2515.0s] Yeah. [2516.0s] Just when I get out, they pull me back in, right? [2519.0s] They'll like. [2520.0s] Yeah. [2521.0s] Thea is like the woman in the woods that's like. [2523.0s] Yeah. [2524.0s] That all the little kids make stories about. [2527.0s] And she lives for so long. [2530.0s] And that's the part that, like, really got me is that, like, [2533.0s] you know, like, like new Laura was a human ranger. [2539.0s] She was going to live to like, I don't know, how long would a ranger [2543.0s] live, like 60s? [2544.0s] If you're lucky. [2547.0s] A dwarf. [2548.0s] Also, I think a similar lifespan as a human, if I'm not mistaken. [2553.0s] I think a tiny bit longer, like a one point five. [2556.0s] Yeah. [2557.0s] Yeah. [2558.0s] And then what? [2559.0s] I'm living hundreds of years having lost you got like the amount of [2562.0s] trauma. [2564.0s] Yeah. [2565.0s] Oh, man. [2566.0s] But then you still came with us because you knew that the love [2569.0s] that you get from your found family is worth the sadness. [2573.0s] It is the only thing that can help you. [2575.0s] Thea is Baba Yaga. [2580.0s] It's not chicken legs. [2581.0s] It's actually owl legs. [2585.0s] Yeah. [2588.0s] You can be my warlock. [2589.0s] Yeah, in that way. [2591.0s] Another one or a moment that standard just liked was the time [2595.0s] that they helped blow up the moon. [2597.0s] So. [2598.0s] Oh, yeah, that was for a. [2600.0s] So snuck into a game time, some lean world lore that was basically [2607.0s] the trigger for the darkest timeline is that there was a portal [2611.0s] on the moon that they had to go shut down and try and stop. [2615.0s] But there was a failing scenario. [2617.0s] Like, there was no way that they were going to stop it. [2619.0s] Sorry. [2621.0s] But the DM1. [2623.0s] And then it connected when we were playing with Lindsay Bowen, [2627.0s] Nampon 9. [2629.0s] At the end of that scene, like, yeah, moon goes dark and everything. [2635.0s] And you hear the zombies start coming out of portals and drop that [2639.0s] in the feed. And it worked really well. [2641.0s] So, yeah, yeah, absolutely. [2642.0s] That was great. [2643.0s] How many times did I try to use, like, my moon beam spell [2648.0s] and then went, fuck, the damn moon. [2653.0s] So many times. [2655.0s] So many times. [2657.0s] Oh, God. [2659.0s] Well, you know, it sounds like you'll have a lot of good moments. [2662.0s] Standard just wants to know what some of the favorite moments [2664.0s] each character had throughout the years. [2667.0s] Is there a quote or joke that really stuck with you that you can recall? [2671.0s] Mm, Judas. [2675.0s] Why was that so funny? [2676.0s] It's always the dumbest thing. [2678.0s] What a one-off. [2679.0s] And a standard Meredith. [2681.0s] Just a standard lady. [2683.0s] Just a standard lady. [2684.0s] You know how much I describe people as a standard. [2687.0s] Like, that is a person type now that never existed. [2692.0s] Yeah. [2693.0s] My namesake. [2694.0s] Just a standard Jess. [2696.0s] Just a standard lady type. [2698.0s] Setting it up in hard mode. [2700.0s] Yeah. [2701.0s] Oh, man. [2702.0s] Judith was good. [2703.0s] Potatoes was fucking expensive. [2707.0s] Oh, God, they were so... [2709.0s] The economy in this place is just ridiculous. [2712.0s] Five gold for a plate of potatoes? [2714.0s] Russ doesn't understand currency in this world. [2717.0s] Oh, that's too much? [2718.0s] That's too much? [2719.0s] All right, we'll adjust the pricing. [2720.0s] Don't worry about it. [2721.0s] Don't worry about it. [2723.0s] Forks, there's a fuck in the road, which was a mistake, but I love it. [2727.0s] It was very good. [2728.0s] One thing that we, for whatever reason, stopped doing is Sully stopped keystering things after the first 20 episodes. [2737.0s] It was freaking Glim out. [2740.0s] So maybe didn't stop keystering things. [2742.0s] Stopped mentioning that they were keystering. [2744.0s] Yeah, just a little more subtle about it. [2745.0s] A keyster's gonna keyst, am I right? [2747.0s] Yeah. [2748.0s] Keysters out here be keystering. [2750.0s] Taylor Swift's next hit single. [2753.0s] Next big hit. [2754.0s] There's so many more things I can't... [2756.0s] I always just like blank. [2759.0s] Beefy Stew? [2760.0s] Like, what's he up to now? [2761.0s] Beefy Stew in the Season of War? [2763.0s] I think back on him often. [2764.0s] Absolutely. [2765.0s] I think back on, you know, fictional characters frequently. [2769.0s] Yeah. [2770.0s] Yeah. [2771.0s] Jaypes. [2772.0s] I liked playing Jaypes. [2773.0s] Jaypes, yeah. [2775.0s] Jaypes was good. [2776.0s] That whole arc that just kept like popping up. [2779.0s] We could have won the whole fucking thing, Kyle. [2781.0s] We could have won the whole thing. [2783.0s] That was a fun arc that confused a lot of people [2786.0s] every single time at Pop Share. [2788.0s] It got to be like, why are these people here again? [2790.0s] Margaret and Lex. [2792.0s] Guy. [2793.0s] That stupid voice that Tom did [2794.0s] because he thought it was going to be a one-off. [2797.0s] Perseus, yeah. [2798.0s] I liked it. [2799.0s] I thought it was really fun. [2801.0s] And it became what I didn't know at the time, [2804.0s] is that little arc like bridged some of the issues [2807.0s] of jumping ahead 10 years in time [2810.0s] in that we could continue that one, [2813.0s] but then have like the timelines kind of line up, [2816.0s] but not really line up. [2818.0s] So it was like one of those Marvel throwaway lines, [2821.0s] like, well, when you hop times, [2822.0s] some things are different. [2824.0s] Yeah, yeah, yeah. [2826.0s] I think I said at one point someone was like, [2828.0s] but what about this? [2829.0s] And I was like, willing suspension of disbelief. [2833.0s] That's how we explain that one. [2835.0s] Imagination. [2838.0s] I think a lot more about just time jumps [2841.0s] than I ever did before just in my general life. [2845.0s] Walked into your house and you're like, all right, [2847.0s] prepare to be transported back to the 1970s. [2850.0s] Carla, I love the transport, come on now. [2853.0s] Oh yes, I gave Russ the option [2855.0s] when he came to my new house. [2856.0s] I was like, do you want to go in the backyard first, [2858.0s] or do you want to be transported in time [2860.0s] to the 1970s? [2861.0s] And he said, you know I love time jumps, [2863.0s] let's go to the 70s. [2865.0s] Go. [2866.0s] I should post some pictures, y'all. [2867.0s] Maybe once all the boxes are gone. [2869.0s] It's incredible. [2870.0s] Get those curtains in there. [2871.0s] You keep those velvet curtains. [2872.0s] Wait till you see the mural. [2873.0s] Like, my god. [2875.0s] The mural's pretty great. [2876.0s] It's incredible. [2877.0s] Fucking wild things about Carla's mural. [2879.0s] It's incredible. [2880.0s] The DJ booth. [2881.0s] It's unbelievable. [2882.0s] Like, I just. [2883.0s] The giant tub. [2884.0s] The tub room. [2885.0s] The tub room. [2886.0s] It's a room with nothing but a tub in it. [2887.0s] There was some wild sex parties at my house. [2889.0s] Oh, I got it. [2890.0s] 1980s. [2891.0s] That's why they got the fan in the middle of the room. [2892.0s] Do not take a blacklight to that tub room. [2894.0s] No. [2895.0s] No. [2896.0s] But I mean, now I kind of want to. [2899.0s] Just for science purposes, yeah. [2901.0s] The people were in their 80s at this point, [2903.0s] so hopefully it's fine now. [2905.0s] What did you mean? [2906.0s] Those were wood paneled walls. [2908.0s] That absorbs. [2909.0s] So far. [2910.0s] That absorbs. [2911.0s] Oh god. [2912.0s] Can we get out of this? [2913.0s] What's the next question? [2914.0s] This has nothing to do. [2915.0s] We're actually at the end of our reflection. [2916.0s] Are you not moderating, Kyle? [2917.0s] Oh my god. [2918.0s] Get me in line. [2919.0s] We're actually at the end of our reflection section, [2920.0s] so we don't need to reflect on that anymore. [2923.0s] Perfect. [2924.0s] Get off the rails. [2941.0s] Moving forward, let's... [2944.0s] Lawrence asks, [2947.0s] will Kyle continue to be a permanent cast member? [2952.0s] Putting us on the spot here, Kyle. [2954.0s] Russ. [2955.0s] Oh my god. [2956.0s] That's like asking, are we boyfriend girlfriend? [2957.0s] That's right. [2958.0s] Are we doing this? [2960.0s] Yeah. [2961.0s] I'll let Kyle talk. [2964.0s] It's a conversation that I'm open to having. [2966.0s] Of course, I've got a lot of things going on, [2969.0s] but I love playing D&D with these people, [2972.0s] and I would love to continue doing it [2974.0s] in any capacity that is feasible [2977.0s] for both Dumbgeons and Dragons and myself. [2980.0s] That being said, no spoilers, I guess. [2988.0s] TBD. [2989.0s] Because we basically stole Tuesdays from Kyle [2994.0s] for four years. [2996.0s] That was a while. [2998.0s] We had some vacation time. [3000.0s] Let's take a break, [3001.0s] and we haven't really recorded anything. [3003.0s] In the offseason, [3004.0s] which we'll get to exactly what we're doing, [3005.0s] but Kyle's popping up in some offseason stuff. [3009.0s] But we have done and played [3014.0s] what I really enjoy with our show [3016.0s] is playing with a whole lot of different people, [3019.0s] and we'll list all of the guests that we've had on, [3022.0s] because it's an insane list of amazing people. [3025.0s] It is, yeah. [3026.0s] And we are fortunate, hugely fortunate, [3029.0s] to have had Kyle not only come and play [3031.0s] an amazing character, [3032.0s] but come back and be like, [3034.0s] well, you sent me the PowerPoint [3036.0s] to say this is what we're doing now, [3038.0s] so you have to come do this with us. [3041.0s] Kind of a package deal. [3043.0s] Yeah. [3044.0s] Oh, yeah. [3045.0s] My PowerPoint, not PowerPoint, right? [3047.0s] It was the most powerful PowerPoint I've ever seen. [3051.0s] You don't want it to be lengthy. [3053.0s] Straight to the point. [3055.0s] Straight to the point. [3056.0s] Yeah. [3058.0s] But yeah, we want to do a little bit [3061.0s] of just the four of us again for a little while, [3064.0s] because we haven't done that in a long time. [3067.0s] Like play an arc, and we don't, [3070.0s] we'll talk about this more, I keep jumping, [3072.0s] but we'll talk about that later. [3074.0s] But we do want Kyle to come back in some capacity. [3077.0s] Absolutely. [3078.0s] Yeah. [3079.0s] That's why we let him moderate. [3081.0s] I knew these questions were here. [3083.0s] You don't just ditch your friends [3085.0s] when you find out that they play D&D. [3087.0s] I could have deleted all these questions [3089.0s] from the document to be like, [3091.0s] no, Kyle, you're never coming back, [3093.0s] but we love to play with them, [3095.0s] and get out of here. [3096.0s] There are ways to import them up to Canada. [3099.0s] It's true. [3100.0s] We got to make that musical. [3102.0s] There's a lot on lists. [3105.0s] No, whatever happens, happens, [3108.0s] and I'll be glad to do whatever we do. [3111.0s] I'm going to love it. [3113.0s] Maybe you're sex tape. [3115.0s] Do y'all want to move on to the next section [3120.0s] and answer some questions about [3122.0s] whatever happened to, [3124.0s] I feel like it's almost like a Jackbox game. [3127.0s] This section of Jackbox, whatever happened to? [3129.0s] Amy and I are about three quarters of a box. [3132.0s] Oh, this is why she wrapped. [3134.0s] Before we do that, [3135.0s] I think there's one other little question [3137.0s] in this First Reflections. [3138.0s] I just want to touch on it quickly, [3140.0s] because it is about how amazing Kyle is, [3142.0s] less about how great Orcas is. [3144.0s] The Faust question, if you want to read that one real quick. [3147.0s] Yes, sorry, I did forget about that one, [3149.0s] and I meant to ask it. [3151.0s] Russ, what inspirations brought you to using Orcas [3154.0s] as your primary and boss, [3156.0s] especially since Undead are an annoying and multi-step fight [3159.0s] that brings a bit of difficulty to a lot of normal fights. [3162.0s] Also, if so inclined, [3164.0s] would love that pancake recipe from Grancis, [3167.0s] which I'm going to second that last bit there. [3170.0s] 100%. I will share the pancake recipe, [3172.0s] which I think I said. [3173.0s] I will put a baller pancake recipe in the Discord. [3176.0s] We will match it with our pancake recipe. [3178.0s] Okay, we had a brownie out, but my pancakes are legit, okay? [3182.0s] Fair enough. [3183.0s] I believe you. [3184.0s] Throw some recipes in there. [3186.0s] Let's do it. [3187.0s] So, Orcas. [3189.0s] I've always really liked Orcas, [3191.0s] because as far as abyssal monsters go, [3195.0s] he's not the king. [3197.0s] That's Demogorgon. [3198.0s] And he's a chaotic, weird, goat-man monster [3202.0s] that I was like, this is cool. [3204.0s] And he likes Undead and souls and all of this. [3207.0s] So the picture I had of the Tiamat battle, [3210.0s] which I did describe in there, [3212.0s] is like souls getting sucked into the sky, [3214.0s] like out of the battle. [3215.0s] And that's Orcas siphoning... [3218.0s] That's Orcas Vorunax, [3221.0s] siphoning souls into the background [3224.0s] to power the gates that are to come in the Darkest Timeline. [3228.0s] So the battle in and of itself is fueling the next big bad, [3232.0s] which I really liked in that moment. [3237.0s] Once Kyle came in to play Vorunax graciously [3241.0s] in that first Welcome to Blackpool, [3244.0s] I had it in my mind, [3245.0s] which I don't think I voiced to Kyle. [3247.0s] I was like, you're Orcas' right hand. [3249.0s] You go open portals. [3251.0s] But I was like, Orcas is too chaotic, [3254.0s] which we felt once we got down there, [3257.0s] that he was just all over the place. [3258.0s] He's rushing things. [3259.0s] He's thrown off. [3260.0s] And he doesn't have Vorunax to do it. [3263.0s] Vorunax really is the big bad, [3266.0s] which our players switched. [3270.0s] They converted him after a point, [3273.0s] which I thought was really cool. [3274.0s] And now we have this huge big bad [3276.0s] that we have to go fight [3277.0s] that doesn't have his brain behind him anymore. [3283.0s] So yeah, that's why I liked Orcas. [3286.0s] And I don't know if it would have worked out the same [3288.0s] if I didn't have Kyle in that seat. [3291.0s] So thank you, Kyle. [3292.0s] Yeah, I was stoked when you asked me to come on [3295.0s] because I was like, how can I help you? [3297.0s] Because as a DM, I was like, [3299.0s] I know what it's like to have players. [3301.0s] Let's make your shit work. [3303.0s] And how can I help you do that? [3305.0s] I got you, bro. [3306.0s] We can force some others to happen here. [3309.0s] I so love that. [3310.0s] Man, I had not thought about that. [3312.0s] But of course, Orcas is so chaotic [3316.0s] that he needed Vorunax to be the administrator [3322.0s] to put everything in motion. [3324.0s] You need to make your plan and check the box [3327.0s] and put it together. [3329.0s] It wasn't going to be the lich dude. [3332.0s] I did not connect those dots. [3333.0s] No, it's so obvious now that you did. [3335.0s] Oh, Shangri-La? [3336.0s] It's not like this that we don't connect dots. [3339.0s] Oh, Shangri-La. [3341.0s] And you saw Shangri-La trying to... [3344.0s] Daddy! [3348.0s] I hated it so much. [3350.0s] It causes a visceral reaction to me. [3353.0s] Vorunax gets flipped in the darkest timeline [3355.0s] after he realizes everything's never... [3359.0s] The goal is not there for him anymore. [3362.0s] So he sacrifices himself. [3364.0s] But then in the past timeline, [3367.0s] after he converts, [3369.0s] Shangri-La does step up and try and fill the seat. [3372.0s] But he's dropping bottles and walking around like, [3374.0s] I got it, daddy, don't worry. [3376.0s] We'll just pick this up. [3378.0s] Vorunax will never know what we're doing. [3380.0s] Yeah, no. [3382.0s] And then it set in motion [3384.0s] the destruction of everything [3388.0s] that led up to the end there. [3391.0s] See, I think things through [3393.0s] even though there's nothing on my page. [3396.0s] It's all in there. [3398.0s] It's all in there. [3402.0s] So, yes, thank you all for doing that. [3405.0s] Very revealing. [3408.0s] I know, I was like, I had no idea that all that happened. [3411.0s] I sit beside the DM and still... [3414.0s] All makes a lot of sense now that you say it. [3416.0s] Yeah, when you lay it out that way. [3419.0s] Works out. [3421.0s] Well, in the whatever happened to section, [3424.0s] we kind of have a similar question [3426.0s] between Hannah S. and Victor. [3429.0s] What happened to Donny? [3431.0s] He just went poof. [3432.0s] Unless Donny with a N-Y and Don E. [3436.0s] No, one in the same. [3438.0s] Okay, just making sure. [3440.0s] But yeah, did Donny need crackers, [3442.0s] couldn't make it out of the bag anymore, [3444.0s] just went poof? [3446.0s] What's up with that? [3448.0s] So, Donny did disappear [3451.0s] once we got into the abyss. [3453.0s] Upon command. [3455.0s] There is a scene, [3457.0s] and I didn't go back and listen, [3459.0s] but I'm pretty sure I remember a scene [3461.0s] where he pokes his head out and says, [3463.0s] oh, what am I doing? [3464.0s] And then it's too dangerous for him, [3466.0s] shoves him back in. [3468.0s] And there wasn't really a point [3470.0s] because everything was bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, [3472.0s] like bad, bad, bad, bad, worse, worse, worse. [3474.0s] He has like eight hit points. [3476.0s] He's a tiny little... [3478.0s] Thea could not. [3480.0s] Like he was just a little baby. [3483.0s] He was like a cat. [3485.0s] It was probably when we came across the dude [3488.0s] taking a piss. [3490.0s] Oh, yeah. [3492.0s] This is too much for you, man. [3494.0s] Is that Smiler? [3496.0s] Fuck that guy. [3498.0s] Also visceral reaction. [3500.0s] He was just unnerving. [3502.0s] And to know that that guy lives somewhere [3504.0s] in my husband, [3506.0s] just think of me occasionally. [3508.0s] Just think of me occasionally. [3510.0s] But yeah, I don't think Thea could [3512.0s] have handled the loss of Donny [3514.0s] because Donny's the only thing [3516.0s] that connects her to Nulara. [3518.0s] And now the only thing that connected her [3520.0s] to, and probably the only thing [3522.0s] that's going to live as long as her. [3524.0s] Also got some fun [3526.0s] backstory, like not backstory. [3528.0s] Donny now. [3530.0s] Consult the PDF. [3532.0s] That's right. [3534.0s] I know what's happening with Donny. [3536.0s] So Donny [3538.0s] definitely from the point [3540.0s] of Nulara's death onward [3542.0s] had been struggling with the loss [3544.0s] of Nulara. [3546.0s] We think about how we lose [3548.0s] our pets and how [3550.0s] devastating that is to us. [3552.0s] And the [3554.0s] flip side of it, [3556.0s] Donny was a mess. [3558.0s] He also, [3560.0s] Thea and him share a therapist. [3562.0s] But Thea has also found an [3564.0s] artificer who is making another [3566.0s] collar for him so that [3568.0s] when he's ready [3570.0s] and healing, he can [3572.0s] transform back into the gold [3574.0s] wormling that he was. [3576.0s] And move forward. [3578.0s] Yeah, he'll find [3580.0s] his power again. [3582.0s] He and Thea, they're healing together. [3584.0s] Guacamole is just like fucking, I don't know, [3586.0s] eating all the mice. We've got no rat problem. [3590.0s] That's lovely. I love that. [3592.0s] Yeah. Awesome. [3594.0s] Awesome. [3596.0s] Welcome back, Arachan. I'm back, baby. [3598.0s] We missed you. [3600.0s] Awesome. Since [3602.0s] Arachan came back, let's [3604.0s] answer one of their questions about how [3606.0s] the evil duo [3608.0s] came into being slash play. [3610.0s] The evil duo. [3612.0s] Vorunax and Lipsenke. I'm assuming [3614.0s] so. I guess [3616.0s] that would be the evil duo. [3618.0s] I assume that's Vorunax and Lipsenke. Correct us [3620.0s] if we're wrong there, Arachan. [3622.0s] Yeah. Yeah, or, you know, [3624.0s] we already talked about Hilape and Grancis, [3626.0s] so that can't be them. Yeah, that can't be it. [3628.0s] The infinite number of them. [3630.0s] But I mean, also [3632.0s] Fitz. That's who, yeah. So, Vorunax [3634.0s] and Lipsenke. Yeah. [3636.0s] Well, [3638.0s] I mean, we kind of covered that a [3640.0s] little bit with [3642.0s] Russ' talk about you reaching [3644.0s] out to me and me saying, like, I'm down to do [3646.0s] whatever and then you filling me on on [3648.0s] what it is. Lipsenke, [3650.0s] on the other hand, that was [3652.0s] pure chance. [3654.0s] Like, and also [3656.0s] it was Carla wanting to play [3658.0s] into it, really, and going down [3660.0s] that road. For sure, because there was [3662.0s] after Nulara, [3664.0s] then there was, like, several characters [3666.0s] and then [3668.0s] as kind of always happens, one just, [3670.0s] like, hit. I think, [3672.0s] like, Lipsenke just was fun. [3674.0s] Fun to play and, like, [3676.0s] kind of had a vibe from the beginning. [3678.0s] Like a character you can dig into? Yeah. [3680.0s] Yeah. But it was short-lived [3682.0s] too, though, because Lipsenke was only [3684.0s] in those Blackpool episodes at first. [3686.0s] Yeah. And was [3688.0s] a listener [3690.0s] creation. [3692.0s] Ooh. [3694.0s] Yeah, Devon. [3696.0s] I couldn't remember, like, a [3698.0s] patron made up [3700.0s] like the basics [3702.0s] of that character to be [3704.0s] like Pippi Longstocking, which was [3706.0s] so fun. [3708.0s] Yeah. [3710.0s] I don't know. And then it just was fun to be mean. [3712.0s] Not even mean, but just, like, [3714.0s] evil. And we didn't know. [3716.0s] And we didn't even know. No. [3718.0s] Like, when [3720.0s] we came back, like, when Lipsenke [3722.0s] came back [3724.0s] and, like, appeared and was, like, oh, no, [3726.0s] I'm hurt. Like, we [3728.0s] kind of didn't know until, like, then [3730.0s] what was going to happen. [3732.0s] Like, was Lipsenke with [3734.0s] Farnox? Was Lipsenke [3736.0s] actually needed to be saved? [3738.0s] Was it a trick? Like, all of that kind of [3740.0s] just happened? [3742.0s] Organically? [3744.0s] Like, what felt right at the time? [3746.0s] So that was very fun. Totally rude. [3748.0s] Very rude. [3750.0s] I apologize. [3752.0s] Thea was so upset. [3754.0s] She's our responsibility. [3756.0s] We broke her out of this place. [3758.0s] Now we've lost her into [3760.0s] a portal. Like, what the fuck? [3762.0s] And then you came back and I was like, oh, my [3764.0s] god, redemption time. No. [3766.0s] Well, that one landed harder [3768.0s] because that was a quick, like, two-character [3770.0s] turn that you had in that little [3772.0s] two episodes because you had Lex [3774.0s] and Lipsenke come up [3776.0s] in both of those. So you started [3778.0s] with Lipsenke and then we had Lex [3780.0s] and then Lex was escaping [3782.0s] Blackpool. [3784.0s] So we were like, well, okay, [3786.0s] well, we're into Lex now. And then Lipsenke [3788.0s] was, Lipsenke [3790.0s] as much as both characters [3792.0s] were great, I think Lipsenke hit [3794.0s] harder in terms of, like, character [3796.0s] dynamic, [3798.0s] which is why Lex got their own spin-off [3800.0s] series. [3802.0s] That's right. [3804.0s] Yeah. And because, yeah, Lipsenke, [3806.0s] they're really, it felt like, what happened? [3808.0s] Like, she fell in that portal [3810.0s] with Vorunax and then like [3812.0s] Yeah. It allowed us to play [3814.0s] a little bit in that space off [3816.0s] screen for a little while. Yeah. [3818.0s] It was like a lifetime that happened. Yeah. [3820.0s] Because time. Because time. [3822.0s] And things were, like, real, like [3824.0s] bad. I mean, she was, like, [3826.0s] in the abyss and then, I don't know, [3828.0s] like, worked her way out of the abyss [3830.0s] to be one of the bad guys. [3832.0s] When you're nice to the prison guards. [3834.0s] To be supervisor of the abyss. [3836.0s] We didn't, you know, [3838.0s] we talked about it, I think, in that [3840.0s] in that Darkest Timeline episode, [3842.0s] episode 80, where [3844.0s] where everything's bad. [3846.0s] But we alluded to the fact [3848.0s] we didn't go into it because why would you need to do that? [3850.0s] Lipsenke was hard, [3852.0s] like, tortured. [3854.0s] Yeah. By Vorunax and by [3856.0s] along with Grancis, who was [3858.0s] cellmates with Lipsenke. Which I mean [3860.0s] was torture in and of itself. [3862.0s] Right? [3864.0s] We really knew how to put the [3866.0s] screws to somebody. Yeah. So there [3868.0s] was a breaking point and there was a turning point [3870.0s] and Lipsenke was one of those, like [3872.0s] may not, I think [3874.0s] I think we, it kind of worked [3876.0s] out that we played it that Vorunax [3878.0s] maybe took [3880.0s] a liking in this [3882.0s] familial way to Lipsenke [3884.0s] and convinced Orcus that this was a person [3886.0s] that they needed on their team. [3888.0s] Yeah. That's how I read into it. [3890.0s] Yeah, I think so too. [3892.0s] Which was why, and I mean [3894.0s] that makes sense, like, psychologically [3896.0s] that, like, why [3898.0s] Lipsenke would [3900.0s] just love Vorunax so much [3902.0s] because he, I mean, [3904.0s] Stockholm Syndrome, but also [3906.0s] like, then he [3908.0s] did also save her [3910.0s] and, like, give her power to, [3912.0s] I mean, evil power. [3914.0s] But evil power just [3916.0s] is power when you have none, right? [3918.0s] And, yeah. [3920.0s] Anyway, that was the question. [3922.0s] Something about, nothing related to anything. [3924.0s] This brought up the question to me, like, what happened to the [3926.0s] voices that you could hear, like your [3928.0s] was that [3930.0s] a one-time only thing that you had [3932.0s] access to in your brain [3934.0s] or did the abyss break you [3936.0s] or? No, because the [3938.0s] voices, the voices we [3940.0s] revealed as, like, Orcus's power [3942.0s] granting all of Lipsenke's [3944.0s] power. [3946.0s] Which didn't know until they went [3948.0s] to the abyss and kind of [3950.0s] unpacked and revealed that. [3952.0s] Yeah. Yeah, he was like my [3954.0s] sponsor in [3956.0s] power, like where my power was coming [3958.0s] from. Yeah. [3960.0s] I really like that we [3962.0s] eventually got to spin it into Vorunax being like [3964.0s] no, Lipsenke is going to replace [3966.0s] Shangri-La, and that is [3968.0s] that is kind of the motive behind it. [3970.0s] What a weirdo. [3972.0s] Absolutely. Even when we showed up [3974.0s] I love Shangri-La so much. [3978.0s] Shangri-La was a lot of fun to [3980.0s] hate, I'll tell you that much. [3982.0s] That was a lot of fun to get to just play that kind of relationship with. [3984.0s] I don't know if you've noticed this. [3986.0s] I like to play characters that people [3988.0s] just despise. [3990.0s] We love to hate [3992.0s] the characters. We need that because [3994.0s] Amy and Tom and I are like [3996.0s] I love you. You never split the party. [3998.0s] We're all best friends. Like we need a little [4000.0s] conflict. We need someone to be like [4002.0s] oh fuck this guy. [4004.0s] Otherwise it's got to be one of you [4006.0s] and that's just a weird thing to have [4008.0s] for a hundred and fifty five [4010.0s] episodes. I mean we could barely do it for the [4012.0s] darkest timeline. Exactly. For like two episodes. [4014.0s] Then we're like we're fine [4016.0s] now. Yeah, we got to work together I guess. [4018.0s] Alright. [4020.0s] Let's [4022.0s] do a couple quick ones from the question [4024.0s] and answer section. [4026.0s] Kat asks how fast do you think season [4028.0s] three will devolve into butt jokes? [4030.0s] Episode one. [4032.0s] So we've [4034.0s] already drawn a map for it and it's the shape [4036.0s] of a dick. I wasn't joking when you said we [4038.0s] worked with a whiteboard and we drew a dick. [4040.0s] Yeah. [4042.0s] We are who we are. [4044.0s] But we're going [4046.0s] back to our roots, okay? [4048.0s] Just putting lipstick on a pig over here, okay? [4050.0s] It's just [4052.0s] what we're doing. Your roots being so far in [4054.0s] 5E, does that mean season [4056.0s] three is going to be in 5E? [4058.0s] Lawrence would like to know. Are you going to do like a [4060.0s] different tabletop? Yes. [4062.0s] 5E is probably what we're going to do. [4064.0s] We're not, we won't be [4066.0s] inherently [4068.0s] into, what am I trying to say here? [4070.0s] We won't be locked to the forgotten realms [4072.0s] as we are. We're going to go [4074.0s] a homebrew world [4076.0s] which is very exciting. [4078.0s] Only mildly terrifying. [4080.0s] Only mildly terrifying. [4082.0s] But like keep mechanics that [4084.0s] are familiar. [4086.0s] We don't use mechanics anyway. [4088.0s] I mean. [4090.0s] Just use a character sheet that we're familiar with [4092.0s] in case we roll something. [4094.0s] Well, on [4096.0s] the point of character sheets, Kat [4098.0s] also asks, was there anything in the character [4100.0s] inventory that never got used [4102.0s] or only got used once? [4104.0s] Probably. [4106.0s] Okay, so here's my iPad. [4108.0s] Remember how in like. Literally everything I have. [4110.0s] 100%. [4112.0s] Like the last like [4114.0s] four episodes when I was like [4116.0s] oh guys I have all these aura effects [4118.0s] that will like keep you safe. [4120.0s] Give you extra power. Do this [4122.0s] and this and this and it's like. Oh gosh. [4124.0s] Well, I mean at least I noticed [4126.0s] before the very final [4128.0s] battle. Yeah, it was a perfect [4130.0s] timing. Yeah. Yeah. So [4132.0s] I would say so much more than [4134.0s] even that. Like. [4136.0s] Times out by five if you're [4138.0s] looking at my character sheet like a god. [4140.0s] Because we just would always get so [4142.0s] into RP. [4144.0s] Which I love. [4146.0s] Like that's. Yeah. [4148.0s] That's the heart of it. We would sort of [4150.0s] just like maybe not look at our character [4152.0s] sheets like ever. [4154.0s] Well, I think once we found out it was slowing [4156.0s] us down. Yeah. Cause [4158.0s] they're like early on [4160.0s] like season one there would be like [4162.0s] five minute pauses [4164.0s] where we're like [4166.0s] hold on I need to consult my sheet. [4168.0s] Just gotta look this up. [4170.0s] Just give me one second to look this up. [4172.0s] Well, this kind of goes [4174.0s] hand in hand with this question. [4176.0s] Amy, Chris wants to know [4178.0s] like what happened to Thea's levitation [4180.0s] boots. So maybe that's something on your [4182.0s] inventory that you know didn't quite [4184.0s] see the lie today. I think this question [4186.0s] came up maybe a little bit [4188.0s] before that final battle because I [4190.0s] think you did pull them out because there was like an [4192.0s] earthquake and you were like I've got levitation [4194.0s] boots. I'm like great. They don't move. [4196.0s] They just levitate. [4198.0s] And that was the thing is why I never use them [4200.0s] and I do remember that I had them. [4202.0s] But the thing is is that it would levitate me [4204.0s] but I had no way to [4206.0s] propel. Yes. [4208.0s] I couldn't just swim through the air. It wasn't [4210.0s] a flying ability. It was just like [4212.0s] okay now you're off of the ground. [4214.0s] Like you could either be [4216.0s] pushed to a certain extent [4218.0s] and then stop or like [4220.0s] use something. You have to hold hands [4222.0s] with somebody. Yeah. [4224.0s] Give me a push. Exactly. [4226.0s] It was just more awkward [4228.0s] RP wise than it was [4230.0s] useful. [4232.0s] Kat is asking about those stickers [4234.0s] and we did get [4236.0s] them. Which stickers? [4238.0s] I was confused [4240.0s] to use them and I [4242.0s] was too embarrassed to ask. [4244.0s] I mean there was tons of stuff [4246.0s] that we got. [4248.0s] I'm sorry. [4250.0s] The [4252.0s] Zed Mart which is [4254.0s] where patrons could put in items [4256.0s] and our players could go buy [4258.0s] them. I'm sorry. [4260.0s] They would get really excited and be like yeah I'll get [4262.0s] that one. I'll do that thing and I'll do [4264.0s] and then they just go on the list. [4266.0s] So [4268.0s] season three we'll try and use the items [4270.0s] that you gave to us. Listen fam [4272.0s] have any of you ever bought anything [4274.0s] and then been like [4276.0s] I totally have a purpose for this. [4278.0s] I'm just going to put it in a safe place. [4280.0s] And then you never [4282.0s] see it again. And then a year later [4284.0s] you're like oh yeah [4286.0s] I bought this thing. But what was that for? [4288.0s] I have a bit [4290.0s] of a theory as to why those things get forgotten [4292.0s] about because a lot of times it's at the [4294.0s] end of an episode that it's like a [4296.0s] reward. You get to go shopping. [4298.0s] And then you get this new [4300.0s] ship but you don't pay attention to it because [4302.0s] you're done. Russ is like I'm going to add it to [4304.0s] your character sheet. Yeah you don't introduce [4306.0s] yourselves and then immediately say that [4308.0s] person's name three times to be able to [4310.0s] lock it and you're like great I'll remember [4312.0s] that next time. Or let me practice. [4316.0s] Yeah or it's just ADHD. [4320.0s] That very well could be [4322.0s] awesome. [4326.0s] Well Russ [4328.0s] Hannah asks, whatever happened to [4330.0s] slash what was the end [4332.0s] goal for Nulara's ghost [4334.0s] appearing to Thea? [4336.0s] Was there supposed to be a story arc there that [4338.0s] got passed over for the Darkest Timeline? [4340.0s] Yes. [4342.0s] Yes. [4344.0s] End of answer. [4346.0s] Well we can't do it anymore. [4348.0s] So that [4350.0s] was another like from [4352.0s] when Nulara got the dagger like [4354.0s] there was intended to be a big bad [4356.0s] monster that was attached to the dagger. [4358.0s] Some soul or some beast that [4360.0s] was like you know [4362.0s] which in my mind was [4364.0s] like a Strahd type character. [4366.0s] And we would [4368.0s] had we pursued that in any way [4370.0s] would have gone into something like [4372.0s] Curse of Strahd. We probably [4374.0s] wouldn't have run the module but it would have [4376.0s] been that type of adventure. [4378.0s] So Nulara's ghost [4380.0s] when we didn't yet know [4382.0s] Darkest Timeline [4384.0s] or pandemic happening on the other side [4386.0s] of the mountains or whatever [4388.0s] that was actually one of the other options that I [4390.0s] kind of forgot about until this question [4392.0s] was that Thea [4394.0s] could have pursued the [4396.0s] dagger because she was getting these visions [4398.0s] of Nulara's ghost because New [4400.0s] Lara as we found out [4402.0s] with all of the souls [4404.0s] that you know were taken [4406.0s] by the dagger is trapped [4408.0s] in the dagger [4410.0s] which end up by the end of the [4412.0s] season saving the day [4414.0s] and resetting timelines. [4416.0s] But [4418.0s] could have [4420.0s] decided to be like [4422.0s] no we're going on an adventure [4424.0s] we're going on a quest to track [4426.0s] down why I keep having these visions [4428.0s] and why I keep getting it. And as soon as [4430.0s] we chose which direction [4432.0s] we were going it's like well I can't keep [4434.0s] bringing this back [4436.0s] otherwise it's just going to be this nagging [4438.0s] thing that we'll really never get to. [4440.0s] You know what my [4442.0s] whole thought process on that because we [4444.0s] never talk this out. [4446.0s] Never once mention this. [4448.0s] I don't tell you things that's why. [4450.0s] I know. But my [4452.0s] whole thought process on that was [4454.0s] I was having these [4456.0s] visions about Nulara [4458.0s] but she was [4460.0s] gone and the pursuit [4462.0s] to save Flint [4464.0s] was more important. [4466.0s] Because he was still alive. [4468.0s] I could possibly save him. [4470.0s] And so I think that [4472.0s] Thea's subconscious [4474.0s] literally just like squished [4476.0s] Nulara. [4478.0s] You know how you can do that right? [4480.0s] Just repress things. [4482.0s] Any other things [4484.0s] had to take priority. [4486.0s] Exactly and I think that's what Nulara would have [4488.0s] wanted so I think that's why her ghost didn't [4490.0s] come out [4492.0s] and bother me as much. Also those were freaky [4494.0s] moments. [4496.0s] Horrifying. [4498.0s] I had dreams about it guys. [4500.0s] That's good. [4504.0s] Well [4506.0s] speaking of freaky moments [4508.0s] so were Tiamat [4510.0s] and Bahamut actually like [4512.0s] an Alabama special or [4514.0s] Samantha would like to know? [4516.0s] So that's actually [4518.0s] Forgotten Realms lore that we pulled [4520.0s] in. That wasn't us. [4522.0s] No. [4524.0s] Let's just be clear. [4526.0s] That was like oh what? [4528.0s] This was not of our doing. [4530.0s] That was like pulled off the wiki of like [4532.0s] okay what's the relationship? Yeah there's sister brother [4534.0s] oh she's got a thing for [4536.0s] oh she's got a thing. So in the lore [4538.0s] Tiamat has a thing for [4540.0s] Bahamut and Bahamut's like [4542.0s] no but of course they do. [4544.0s] Because that's what gods do [4546.0s] is they fuck each other. [4548.0s] So yes? [4550.0s] Yeah. [4552.0s] But we're not to blame. [4554.0s] No. [4556.0s] We just read it and then [4558.0s] reset it. [4560.0s] And Flamikins? She had her own [4562.0s] agenda. [4564.0s] Flamikins just wanted to fuck a dragon [4566.0s] and it was a blast. [4568.0s] Yep absolutely. [4572.0s] Oh dang dang dang. [4574.0s] Jennifer from Spotify [4576.0s] asks what happened to Yen Bol [4578.0s] and will it be seen in the future? [4580.0s] It also made [4582.0s] also they made the mistake of listening [4584.0s] to it at work so their co-workers have [4586.0s] officially seen them cry. [4588.0s] Sorry Jennifer. [4590.0s] Thank you for listening but sorry. [4592.0s] Yeah. [4594.0s] So Yen Bol we [4596.0s] sent after the [4598.0s] pyramid. [4600.0s] Right like to test [4602.0s] to see if the portal thing [4604.0s] would work like if they could travel [4606.0s] through time. Right? [4608.0s] Yep. And the idea [4610.0s] I think was that Yen Bol got [4612.0s] to like [4614.0s] go back and [4616.0s] try to like get her [4618.0s] her loved ones like [4620.0s] it's happening now. [4622.0s] The bad thing is happening now [4624.0s] like we need to get out of the city [4626.0s] and got to try [4628.0s] to like save [4630.0s] her people. Went back to her [4632.0s] original timeline to try and save [4634.0s] the people she cared about [4636.0s] because that was sort of [4638.0s] the reward for being the guinea pig [4640.0s] to test if the portal [4642.0s] was going to work like if this [4644.0s] doesn't work who knows [4646.0s] like goodbye forever I guess. [4648.0s] But if it does work you got to heads [4650.0s] up to see your family. You can like try to save [4652.0s] the few people that you can get to [4654.0s] before the city is destroyed. [4656.0s] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. [4658.0s] Which I think we had [4660.0s] intentions of going back to that [4662.0s] scene but it never really seemed [4664.0s] to fit. Yeah. [4666.0s] But yeah the way we left it which again [4668.0s] thanks to Kyle and Kristen for playing Yen [4670.0s] Bol's parents because that's another like [4672.0s] just little. The layers. [4674.0s] You're here you're the parents now go. [4678.0s] But yeah like we left [4680.0s] that you know ushering [4682.0s] the parents going to [4684.0s] the city leader to be like [4686.0s] we need to get moving [4688.0s] storm rolling in thing happening. [4690.0s] So we assume [4692.0s] that there's a warning that they didn't have before. [4694.0s] Yes. [4696.0s] And then in my [4698.0s] mind they made it. Yes. [4700.0s] Of course I did. Yeah. Yeah. At least had [4702.0s] a better chance at the fight [4704.0s] that Shangalar was kind of [4706.0s] rolling in with the pyramid. Yeah. [4708.0s] Like get as many people as they could [4710.0s] and just like tried to do [4712.0s] something. Yeah. [4714.0s] Yeah. Yeah. [4716.0s] A lot of stuff a lot of stuff in that dark [4718.0s] timeline which we've kind of [4720.0s] threads kind of talked about it a little [4722.0s] bit. I know there is that one one [4724.0s] story beat that you had mentioned Russ [4726.0s] but Lawrence [4728.0s] wants to know with the darkest timeline influenced [4730.0s] by the pandemic. And [4732.0s] for me personally I don't think [4734.0s] it was directly but maybe subconsciously [4736.0s] like at least [4738.0s] like you know playing it out. [4740.0s] Yeah like it [4742.0s] wasn't you all know [4744.0s] I'm not going to say things that are new. It wasn't [4746.0s] a fun time. No. For any [4748.0s] of us. No. [4750.0s] And as much as we say like well [4752.0s] good thing we didn't pick the pandemic on [4754.0s] the other side of the mountain. Like [4756.0s] it was still there was still [4758.0s] that flavor that was in it [4760.0s] which is a bad term to say. But [4762.0s] there was still that feeling. It's fair [4764.0s] though. Of like [4766.0s] okay I've jumped them. [4768.0s] It's the worst it can fucking [4770.0s] be. Yeah. Like everything is [4772.0s] dead. Everything is dying. Those that are [4774.0s] alive are basically prisoners in [4776.0s] their own city or in their own right. [4778.0s] So yeah there was a [4780.0s] lot of influence of like how we [4782.0s] I think we were collectively feeling [4784.0s] or at least how I was feeling in the moment [4786.0s] of like there's a lot of despair [4788.0s] and sadness happening. Yeah. [4790.0s] And used [4792.0s] the darkest timeline [4794.0s] and the Destiny's Children [4796.0s] as like the bounce back and forth of [4798.0s] like okay let's live in it for a [4800.0s] week and then let's not [4802.0s] let's go do dick jokes. Let's go to [4804.0s] Jason Halfman Zukus' party [4806.0s] and go along [4808.0s] and like [4810.0s] who fucking cares but then go back [4812.0s] into it right. Like the levity [4814.0s] of it allowed us to place them with some [4816.0s] really serious themes [4818.0s] and then pop in and out. [4820.0s] And you know ideally [4822.0s] for the listener if you weren't just following [4824.0s] one stream which I know some people were following [4826.0s] one stream which is maybe why [4828.0s] it got too much. [4830.0s] Sure. Because you were following just a [4832.0s] specific character. You need the escapism. [4834.0s] You need the bounce back. But we designed [4836.0s] it so that you could bounce back and forth [4838.0s] and you could be like okay well next week I [4840.0s] know there's going to be just silly silliness [4842.0s] and then we're going to be back in it for [4844.0s] a little bit and then we're going to be [4846.0s] okay. Yeah. [4848.0s] Until it merged [4850.0s] and then even when [4852.0s] it merged. All dark all the time. [4854.0s] It was dark all the time but [4856.0s] the merge was [4858.0s] the merge was also a good point [4860.0s] of like there's [4862.0s] hope right. [4864.0s] Okay now all the teams are [4866.0s] together. Well they came in and chopped [4868.0s] up a fucking dragon head. [4870.0s] They're figuring shit out. [4872.0s] They weren't alone. The cavalry [4874.0s] is here bitches. [4876.0s] So yes [4878.0s] I think is the answer to that question. [4880.0s] There's influence. [4882.0s] Definitely so. [4884.0s] Definitely so. [4886.0s] Well we've covered all the whatever happened [4888.0s] twos. That's not as many [4890.0s] as I thought there'd be. I know right. [4892.0s] How many threads are left loose in this [4894.0s] thing. It's okay not to pull at them. [4896.0s] Kind. [4898.0s] There are probably more that have not been [4900.0s] considered but they will forever [4902.0s] lay within [4904.0s] the ether of storytelling. [4906.0s] Exactly. [4918.0s] So there's some questions [4926.0s] for guests from the season which you know [4928.0s] some of it's been touched on but [4930.0s] Kat asked can we just kidnap Kyle [4932.0s] and make it official. [4934.0s] Bombarded episodes are missed of course [4936.0s] which thank you very much. I'm glad you enjoyed [4938.0s] the show. But [4940.0s] they think I fit well. I have [4942.0s] agreed. [4944.0s] I couldn't agree more. [4946.0s] 100 percent. [4948.0s] But Amy mentions like [4950.0s] Megan more than just [4952.0s] me a regular adding [4954.0s] Kristen to that list as well. [4956.0s] It feels like there's some vibes. [4958.0s] It was fun getting to play with Kristen and it did [4960.0s] feel very much like all right cool [4962.0s] good transference of energy [4964.0s] between people playing and [4966.0s] Russ keeping up with all the [4968.0s] extra new antics that you know [4970.0s] come in every once in a while. So yeah. [4972.0s] I thought it was all good. [4974.0s] So chance of regulars coming [4976.0s] into the next iteration as [4978.0s] far as like anybody [4980.0s] we've played with in the past we want to [4982.0s] play with again. Totally. [4984.0s] We've been so lucky to have just people who [4986.0s] just so great. [4988.0s] Just fit. [4990.0s] Yeah. [4992.0s] But yeah so we [4994.0s] want to play with everybody again and [4996.0s] maybe this is a good point to say who the [4998.0s] hell we've played with. [5000.0s] Oh yeah. [5002.0s] Thank you. [5004.0s] The thing about Kristen I think just to interject [5006.0s] that's so fun is that [5008.0s] a goth was so like [5010.0s] stern and [5012.0s] Kristen [5014.0s] is not that [5016.0s] she's so chill and like [5018.0s] warm and great. So it was very [5020.0s] fun for her to be [5022.0s] a goth. [5024.0s] Absolutely. [5026.0s] So yeah. [5028.0s] Kyle and Kristen who again [5030.0s] amazingly came along with us for [5032.0s] for far too long. [5034.0s] Not at all. [5036.0s] As guests. Yeah. [5038.0s] But we also got to play multiple [5040.0s] times with Cicero Holmes who played [5042.0s] dance on the show. [5044.0s] That kick economy. [5046.0s] One of [5048.0s] many people's favorites. [5050.0s] We got to play with Celeste Konowich of [5052.0s] Venture Maidens. [5054.0s] Nice little couple [5056.0s] bottle episodes there. [5058.0s] With Professor Dr. Smith. [5060.0s] They're so [5062.0s] fun. They're such fun listens to. [5064.0s] Sean Howard at the [5066.0s] time in Other Bothers. Of course season [5068.0s] one TMS. [5070.0s] And then Gru in season two. [5072.0s] Before we were [5074.0s] like we can't play with that character [5076.0s] anymore Sean. [5078.0s] Still alive [5080.0s] in the world obviously. [5082.0s] Out there somewhere. [5084.0s] In that spin [5086.0s] off episodes as Margaret [5088.0s] Rev DeShane. So thank you [5090.0s] Rev. [5092.0s] So great. [5094.0s] From Spoutlore [5096.0s] Sean O'Hara and Abdul Aziz [5098.0s] who played Bonesword and Boob's [5100.0s] McFrankenstein. [5102.0s] So good. [5104.0s] And then they took them to [5106.0s] Jason Halfman-Zuchas [5108.0s] house party. [5110.0s] Why wouldn't you? [5112.0s] That was right after you opted out [5114.0s] of my Pirate Isle campaign too. [5116.0s] Pirate Isle arc. [5118.0s] Absolutely you're welcome. [5120.0s] Thank you. [5122.0s] I mean those guys are like legit [5124.0s] comedians. [5126.0s] Improvising comedians. [5128.0s] I guess with everyone [5130.0s] they just like get the [5132.0s] vibe kind of right away and that's why [5134.0s] we've been so lucky. [5136.0s] I'm very choosy about who [5138.0s] I asked to be on the show also. [5140.0s] Also I think we're very [5142.0s] explicit in the [5144.0s] tone [5146.0s] of how we play. [5148.0s] So throw us a little credit there too. [5150.0s] You're choosy but we've got a [5152.0s] very specific tone that we go with. [5154.0s] Every guest we have, we'll get back to the list [5156.0s] here because we're still going. [5158.0s] But with every guest we have we try to have a little [5160.0s] banter off the top of [5162.0s] every record. Like I don't know Kyle [5164.0s] do you recall your first time? [5166.0s] That's the litmus test. [5168.0s] We joke, we have fun. [5170.0s] 10 or 15 minutes we start a little late [5172.0s] but we're like okay whatever. We just make sure [5174.0s] that we know that we're going to just have fun [5176.0s] this episode. [5180.0s] But yeah that way we know that they're [5182.0s] going to be comfortable [5184.0s] because we want to make sure that they're [5186.0s] comfortable and that's going [5188.0s] okay. Well yeah that's where I drop just a little [5190.0s] dick joke and just see how it lands [5192.0s] and then I know [5194.0s] where the line is. [5196.0s] That's where I increase. [5198.0s] A lot of times it was I can increase. [5200.0s] Green flag. [5204.0s] Also from the broadswords because Kristen [5206.0s] is of course from the broadswords but Victoria Rogers [5208.0s] joined us. [5210.0s] And in separate episodes B [5212.0s] and Tracy, B Zelda, Tracy Gibbons. [5214.0s] I fucking love them. [5216.0s] Z and Z. [5218.0s] And then early season 2 [5220.0s] we had Tiffany and David Alvert of North by [5222.0s] North Quest in the [5224.0s] Turd Goblins, Circumference [5226.0s] and Squire Root. [5230.0s] Circumference killing [5232.0s] and the jam. [5234.0s] That one really went off the rails. [5236.0s] And the puns in that one were just [5238.0s] very good. [5240.0s] Lindsay Bowen [5242.0s] is Nampon 9 which helped [5244.0s] which he didn't [5246.0s] know going in was going [5248.0s] to be the trigger episode for the Darkest [5250.0s] Timeline. I didn't prep him [5252.0s] on that. [5254.0s] So he came in like we're going to have fun [5256.0s] and then by the end he's like sacrificing [5258.0s] himself to save everybody [5260.0s] and let them get free and then it's [5262.0s] like boom it's here. [5264.0s] What happened? [5266.0s] It wasn't enough man. [5268.0s] Love Lindsay. [5270.0s] Thank you so much. [5272.0s] And then [5274.0s] Keith Amann who [5276.0s] writes the books How to Play [5278.0s] Monsters and basically [5280.0s] knows how to play everything better [5282.0s] than anybody else. [5284.0s] We learned a lot. [5286.0s] But he was so fun. [5288.0s] Also like really [5290.0s] yeah was doing [5292.0s] like because that was Flora's Lava right? [5294.0s] Yeah Flora's Lava. [5296.0s] But yeah knows the mechanics and knows [5298.0s] how everything works so well which [5300.0s] I mean everybody always knows how to play [5302.0s] play D&D better than us. [5304.0s] Anyone can play D&D. [5306.0s] But yeah he was [5308.0s] so great because it was very like he [5310.0s] clearly knew how to play ten times [5312.0s] better than us but that was [5314.0s] he just went with like our level. [5316.0s] So gracious. [5318.0s] Optimized his character. [5320.0s] He was even like super kind of it too if he'd be [5322.0s] like I'm going to do this common sense [5324.0s] thing and we're like ah. [5326.0s] Yeah first episode [5328.0s] with Keith was interesting because [5330.0s] he came in to play [5332.0s] the game and like I was like [5334.0s] I sent him a couple episodes to be like listen to these [5336.0s] because these are going to set this tone [5338.0s] for like what we do. [5340.0s] Here's the expectation. [5342.0s] But everything was very quiet like for the first [5344.0s] episode and then it just clicked in that second [5346.0s] one and he opened up and he was like okay [5348.0s] we're playing we're doing we're going we're exploring [5350.0s] okay yes we're here. [5352.0s] It is the story. It is the story. [5354.0s] The game is secondary to [5356.0s] the story. Yeah Keith was great. [5358.0s] Go buy Keith's books. Go buy them all. [5360.0s] Very wonderful. And then a few [5362.0s] one shots which [5364.0s] were canonical non-canonical. [5366.0s] Madame Magenta [5368.0s] and Bernard. Lindsay [5370.0s] Sharman and Laurence Owen. [5372.0s] So fun. [5374.0s] Fantastic. And then the whole spout [5376.0s] lore crew for the Halloween Bonanza. [5378.0s] Dum Dums and Dragons. [5380.0s] For the wild Santa [5382.0s] Claus Christmas episodes. [5384.0s] And then we had Carla and I had a little [5386.0s] one shot with [5388.0s] the Greetings Adventures folks Tim Lanning [5390.0s] Jennifer Cheek and Mike Bachman. [5392.0s] Who were just wonderful. So fun. [5394.0s] I got to play on their Patreon [5396.0s] which patrons are getting [5398.0s] those episodes as well. So [5400.0s] we've got Tales [5402.0s] from the Foaming Tankard episodes over on Patreon [5404.0s] that you can come get where we play with them [5406.0s] in one of their games. [5408.0s] They're very fun. [5410.0s] But like so many [5412.0s] people and we want to do that [5414.0s] again. Like it hit a point in season [5416.0s] two where we were like we need to stop [5418.0s] introducing people. [5420.0s] We have a universe to save. [5422.0s] We need to like stop having these fun [5424.0s] adventures. Yes. We got to get serious [5426.0s] you guys. Yeah. Yeah. [5428.0s] It's time to stop taking all the electives and [5430.0s] now start to dig in. It's season three. [5432.0s] So. [5434.0s] You know what that means. [5436.0s] Are we ready for season three questions? [5438.0s] I think there are. [5440.0s] We do have one in the [5442.0s] Q&A. If we want to knock that [5444.0s] out real quick from Iraken. [5446.0s] Iraken wants to know how about [5448.0s] the choice to let a certain someone [5450.0s] have the wand of Orcus? [5452.0s] I liked the choice. [5454.0s] I thought it was a good smart wise [5456.0s] choice. Of course you did. [5458.0s] But yeah. [5460.0s] What do you think Russ? [5462.0s] Which certain someone are we talking about? Are we talking [5464.0s] about Vorunax or are we talking about Opal? [5466.0s] I mean [5468.0s] the fact [5470.0s] that we did that. [5472.0s] Whose idea was that? [5474.0s] I just feel like that whole thing [5476.0s] was so [5478.0s] ridiculous. We didn't know what to do [5480.0s] with that thing. Well it's so powerful [5482.0s] and we just didn't want him to have it [5484.0s] and. Just yeah. Not right there [5486.0s] right then. Yeah. So [5488.0s] we did what we had to do. [5490.0s] I thought that was [5492.0s] all. I mean it all worked out [5494.0s] okay. But yeah giving [5496.0s] Vorunax the wand of Orcus [5498.0s] set him [5500.0s] made him an imposing [5502.0s] figure right out of the gate which I think [5504.0s] we really needed because if he didn't have that [5506.0s] like he was he was a much higher level than [5508.0s] everybody else. But [5510.0s] still action economy like they could have taken [5512.0s] him out. But with the wand of Orcus like he [5514.0s] could have power word killed one of them [5516.0s] basically at any moment as the zombies are [5518.0s] attacking and all that's happening. Well it took him from [5520.0s] like middle management to like some of you [5522.0s] actually take seriously. [5524.0s] And yet if he's like Orcus's [5526.0s] right hand dude [5528.0s] like he would have all the [5530.0s] power. He had all the passwords to all [5532.0s] the bank accounts like he knew how to do all the [5534.0s] stuff right. So it made sense [5536.0s] that he would have [5538.0s] the Boomer piece of paper that had all [5540.0s] the password on it. Orcus [5542.0s] did not know what to do with his taxes. [5544.0s] No. No. Unless Vorunax [5546.0s] was there. He needed to edit a PDF [5548.0s] and Vorunax was there. [5552.0s] He's like what's Google Drive? [5556.0s] It was you know it was [5558.0s] a responsibility to bear [5560.0s] to have the wand of Orcus and know that at any [5562.0s] moment yeah I could [5564.0s] power word kill. [5566.0s] But I think the [5568.0s] reasoning in my mind of not [5570.0s] going to that was [5572.0s] that Vorunax [5574.0s] felt cocky about the situation. [5576.0s] He thought in his [5578.0s] situation he's like I'm backed by [5580.0s] Orcus and I have the power of Orcus. I can summon [5582.0s] undead and create portals. I'm [5584.0s] not concerned about some adventurers. [5586.0s] And in the least I [5588.0s] can always just escape easily. [5590.0s] So like do I need to [5592.0s] use this awesome and amazing power [5594.0s] against them? Not yet. [5596.0s] They're not really messing with [5598.0s] too much. This is one small [5600.0s] point in time and there's plenty [5602.0s] of time. Like would it almost be amusing [5604.0s] to him like let's just see how this plays out. [5606.0s] Like this is cute. [5608.0s] What are you going to do? Look at them [5610.0s] trying so hard. [5612.0s] So I think the only person [5614.0s] I actually used against was [5616.0s] Shangalar I believe. [5618.0s] Yeah and fuck that guy. [5620.0s] Which I did want to kill him [5622.0s] because I had the protege [5624.0s] Lipsinkipip Diggins ready to [5626.0s] step in. Ready to go. [5628.0s] And he said daddy too much. [5630.0s] It was so very [5632.0s] disconcerting. [5634.0s] We were all worried. [5636.0s] I don't recall [5638.0s] how much we talked about [5640.0s] like I think we talked about the relationship [5642.0s] between Vorunax and Shangalar before we [5644.0s] played that session because that's when you popped back into [5646.0s] the pyramid and then it [5648.0s] was at the same time we're all going to go fight him [5650.0s] so like you were there helping [5652.0s] not helping but helping. [5656.0s] I think we talked about a little bit of like [5658.0s] you know you're [5660.0s] one and two in line [5662.0s] but loved how we [5664.0s] played into the he's the suck [5666.0s] up and you're you're really [5668.0s] in charge. [5670.0s] Listen you want to work with your friends. [5672.0s] Yep. I think that is [5674.0s] just a universal like you want [5676.0s] to work with someone who's cool. [5678.0s] He wasn't cool. [5680.0s] Lipsinki was cool. You did what you had to do. [5682.0s] That's right. I did what I had to do. [5684.0s] But yeah those [5686.0s] questions on the horizon for season three [5688.0s] we've talked about some of [5690.0s] them of course. Brian yes season [5692.0s] three is going to be set in 5e as [5694.0s] confirmed by Russ. [5696.0s] And Victor wants to know [5698.0s] Russ will we ever see more [5700.0s] mm Judith. [5702.0s] I assume that's how you say that. [5704.0s] That is how you say it. [5706.0s] Mm Judith is [5708.0s] another interstellar being [5710.0s] obviously. So maybe maybe [5712.0s] in Judith will be in season three. [5714.0s] Cause there wasn't mm Judith in every town as [5716.0s] well. There was. [5718.0s] I assume like a standard [5720.0s] Meredith. [5722.0s] So I think we're I think we're conflating two [5724.0s] separate characters here. [5726.0s] So mm Judith was only in [5728.0s] the one time. [5730.0s] And it was right before [5732.0s] the Rick and Morty [5734.0s] introduction happened [5736.0s] with the Meeseeks. [5738.0s] And Rick and Morty showed [5740.0s] up and you were in the library like the [5742.0s] you were unpacking the library [5744.0s] that they were holding all the books [5746.0s] in then Rick and Morty showed up outside being like [5748.0s] we got to take this back. Yeah Rick [5750.0s] we got to go. [5752.0s] Which we didn't explicitly say [5754.0s] Rick and Morty but you know [5756.0s] that's what that was. [5758.0s] But mm Judith was there. What you're thinking of [5760.0s] is Meredith Grey from the Patreon [5762.0s] episodes. [5764.0s] She just keeps popping up. [5766.0s] I was totally writing those in my head. [5768.0s] Yeah. [5770.0s] Same lady. I was just hoping that there [5772.0s] were just like lots of both of them. [5774.0s] Yeah. Maybe. [5776.0s] Like there's a hill up in every town. [5778.0s] There's mm Judith. That's right. [5780.0s] And there's a Meredith Grey. [5782.0s] It was a five minute scene. [5784.0s] One episode. [5786.0s] It was us with so many listeners. [5788.0s] You know how I looked back at the [5790.0s] caught giggling one [5792.0s] and there were just so many mentions of like [5794.0s] you know how many times I say [5796.0s] mm and then just Judith [5798.0s] comes out of my mouth. [5800.0s] And like some people even forgot [5802.0s] where it came from until they [5804.0s] looked at that like that [5806.0s] feed and they were like [5808.0s] and now I know why I say [5810.0s] mm Judith. [5812.0s] Yeah. [5814.0s] That's funny. [5816.0s] It's funny how those things stick. [5818.0s] Yeah. It's wild which [5820.0s] NPCs, listeners [5822.0s] and fans will like imprint upon. [5824.0s] It's like you are mine now. [5826.0s] You are my [5828.0s] baby child. I will take care of you forever. [5830.0s] Imprint upon. [5832.0s] Yes. [5834.0s] Well Zach asks [5836.0s] about the new season following [5838.0s] an adventure model or will it be a home [5840.0s] brewed campaign assuming [5842.0s] since we're in a home brewed world [5844.0s] I would assume we're going with the home brewed [5846.0s] campaign. Yes. [5848.0s] Home brewed world. [5850.0s] Likely a home brewed campaign. [5852.0s] Looking ahead to all the other questions [5854.0s] I can hold off [5856.0s] on anything else. So yes. [5858.0s] We have had a session [5860.0s] where we're building the world. [5862.0s] The quiet year. [5864.0s] No. [5866.0s] What was the game we played? [5868.0s] Oh. Oh. [5870.0s] Oh it was a great world building game. [5872.0s] You guys. [5874.0s] We have a channel in the place [5876.0s] I can just look it up. [5878.0s] This is relevant because Nathaniel [5880.0s] recommended it to us. [5882.0s] It was so great. [5884.0s] World building. [5886.0s] Scrolling up to the beginning. [5888.0s] Notes notes notes. [5890.0s] Ex novo. [5892.0s] That's what it is. Which is a city [5894.0s] building game. So yeah we built the city [5896.0s] the history [5898.0s] and the time. [5900.0s] It kind of goes through all of these [5902.0s] things to like build out [5904.0s] the authority. [5906.0s] That's badass. [5908.0s] It's really fun and cool. [5910.0s] Yeah or like a conflict in [5912.0s] the past that has happened that has [5914.0s] shaped this. How has it rippled? [5916.0s] Yeah. Yeah it's really [5918.0s] cool. Definitely recommend. [5920.0s] Yeah and it's something that I think we want [5922.0s] to continue to use so [5924.0s] um [5926.0s] like [5928.0s] how much do we want to share? Maybe we can share [5930.0s] some things. So like season three like we want [5932.0s] to be set in a town. We have been [5934.0s] very end of the world [5936.0s] for a very long time. [5938.0s] Which is hard stakes to keep up [5940.0s] and escalate from. [5942.0s] Like we've saved the world now twice. [5944.0s] Like it's [5946.0s] time to take it back. We're going to just like roll that way [5948.0s] back. Yeah. Where do you go from there? [5950.0s] We're finding lost dogs. [5952.0s] We're saving [5954.0s] cats from trees. Exactly. [5956.0s] We're cleaning up the mean streets. [5958.0s] We're getting those teens out from behind [5960.0s] that 7-Eleven. Exactly. [5962.0s] So we're going to keep it small scale [5964.0s] community like [5966.0s] there will be a big [5968.0s] bat of some sort. There has to be an [5970.0s] opposition in some way shape or form. [5972.0s] But landlords. [5974.0s] It's a great way [5976.0s] place to start. [5978.0s] There's definitely going to be [5980.0s] some [5982.0s] gentrification. Yeah. There's going to be [5984.0s] some like class warfare because we always [5986.0s] just try and bring that in a little bit. [5988.0s] Capitalism. Absolutely. [5990.0s] Real enemy. [5992.0s] Let's make a real [5994.0s] political statement with season three. [5996.0s] I mean if [5998.0s] season two was a comment on the pandemic [6000.0s] then season three is clearly [6002.0s] this depression that we're in. [6004.0s] World economics. [6006.0s] That's where we're going. [6008.0s] Getting down to the nitty gritty. [6010.0s] The numbers of it all. [6012.0s] Just in case you're listening and [6014.0s] for some reason this is the first thing. [6016.0s] We're joking. [6018.0s] Don't listen to this first. [6020.0s] This would be a wild first. [6022.0s] Go back and listen to season one and season two. [6024.0s] And then join [6026.0s] the Patreon and listen to all the great content [6028.0s] there as well. [6030.0s] And then three years from then. [6032.0s] Come back to this episode and then it'll all make sense. [6034.0s] We'll be here. [6036.0s] Awesome. Awesome. [6038.0s] We got a couple [6040.0s] from Old School [6042.0s] Gamer D. My name is D. [6044.0s] Asking. They talk [6046.0s] to Russ about an NPC named Eugene [6048.0s] and if Kristen returns [6050.0s] can we have that chance encounter? [6052.0s] Yes. So D. [6054.0s] I do have the notes [6056.0s] for that character. It was introduced [6058.0s] to me too late [6060.0s] in the game in season two. [6062.0s] It was at that point where we were [6064.0s] like I need to stop introducing new characters [6066.0s] and new side arcs and new things [6068.0s] but I love it so much [6070.0s] so I'm holding on to it for season [6072.0s] three. [6074.0s] I'm not going to say anything more than Eugene [6076.0s] but it [6078.0s] is very good. Nobody else here [6080.0s] knows because I don't tell them any of that stuff. [6082.0s] It goes to a Google form and it disappears [6084.0s] forever [6086.0s] until I remember to go back to it. [6088.0s] We don't search it out. No. [6090.0s] So yes that will come back and if [6092.0s] Kristen returns maybe [6094.0s] yeah maybe that [6096.0s] would be a good Kristen fit so we'll see. [6098.0s] Love to see. So [6100.0s] Old School Gamer D. also wants [6102.0s] to know how much of like [6104.0s] the deities are going to be rolled into season three [6106.0s] asking like with just Tiamat and [6108.0s] Godmiss left what are some of the ideas [6110.0s] you've had for season three's [6112.0s] BBEG? Like [6114.0s] no spoilers of course just thoughts [6116.0s] process or are you going to wing it? [6118.0s] And let the muse speak to you. [6120.0s] Everybody looks to me. [6122.0s] So I do. I mean I feel like muse [6124.0s] but that's just because we never know what's going on [6126.0s] as we just said. Yes. [6128.0s] So not revealing anything [6130.0s] because Carla, Tom and Amy don't even know [6132.0s] anything but I do have ideas [6134.0s] for so here's the [6136.0s] thing we don't know what characters we want to play [6138.0s] yet but I do have ideas [6140.0s] for four [6142.0s] individual different [6144.0s] things that could happen. [6146.0s] Okay. [6148.0s] Oh I like that the future is in set. [6150.0s] Within this story there are [6152.0s] you know we don't know exactly [6154.0s] but like hierarchically speaking [6156.0s] like there could be four things [6158.0s] that they pursue for [6160.0s] like season one and then [6162.0s] we can work them in for not season [6164.0s] one season three. Season one of season three. [6166.0s] Season one of season three. Yes of [6168.0s] course. Season one dash season one [6170.0s] dash three a three point one. Yes. [6172.0s] And then [6174.0s] you know follow that through and then [6176.0s] bridge off. Well I mean in terms [6178.0s] of gods too we're like [6180.0s] we're literally [6182.0s] world building so we are [6184.0s] we are making decisions [6186.0s] about things like what gods [6188.0s] and magic [6190.0s] and everything looks like. The whole structure [6192.0s] of society is like [6194.0s] being decided which is [6196.0s] super fun and cool [6198.0s] and yeah. As far as the world [6200.0s] we're leaving though Tiamat is [6202.0s] the last god surviving. Yeah. [6204.0s] So let your [6206.0s] imagination run wild with that. You're welcome [6208.0s] wizards of the coast. [6210.0s] Boom. [6212.0s] Can't see why they don't call me up to make this [6214.0s] canon. [6216.0s] Whatever Flameykin's taking care of. [6218.0s] Flameykin's has destroyed [6220.0s] Tiamat. No all the gods [6222.0s] are reborn because of Tiamat and [6224.0s] and Flameykin's so. [6226.0s] No. [6228.0s] No. [6230.0s] Refuse. No. [6232.0s] We don't speak that into existence. [6234.0s] That's not canon. Not at all. It's called [6236.0s] Manifesting Kyle. Don't do it. [6238.0s] I won't manifest that. I'll stop it. I'm sorry [6240.0s] Amy. I didn't mean to upset you. [6242.0s] So close to bedtime. [6244.0s] It is. Well before we get into [6246.0s] our final section we've got a couple [6248.0s] more questions lingering in the questions [6250.0s] and answers. So Sandra Jess [6252.0s] wants to know with the new season being a homebrewed [6254.0s] world will the Patreon [6256.0s] GameTimes be getting new stars [6258.0s] too? What ever happened to the [6260.0s] Dapper Pelican [6262.0s] in the aftermath? [6264.0s] So for [6266.0s] context for those who don't know [6268.0s] part of our Patreon you can play in Game Time [6270.0s] where we have introduced the world [6272.0s] of the Dapper Pelican which is the Adventures [6274.0s] Guild that also existed [6276.0s] within the same world as [6278.0s] Season 1 and Season 2. We had [6280.0s] pop-ins of Flameykins [6282.0s] and Hillup and all sorts of [6284.0s] different characters coming through. [6286.0s] Haven't yet decided. We're still [6288.0s] going to play within that world for a little bit. [6290.0s] What we do with it. [6292.0s] We may for a [6294.0s] little while keep going until we really [6296.0s] figure out what's going on in Season 3 [6298.0s] and then [6300.0s] take a turn [6302.0s] and see if there's something else [6304.0s] we can build with those games because [6306.0s] those were [6308.0s] and continue to be fun sandboxes [6310.0s] to destroy the moon [6312.0s] without my players knowing. [6314.0s] Absolutely. [6316.0s] Awesome. [6318.0s] What about Tim's Game? [6320.0s] Tim Tom? [6322.0s] Tim Tom's Game? [6324.0s] Tim Tams? [6326.0s] What about Tom's Game? [6328.0s] It's Tim Tams. I'm all ears. [6330.0s] What about your game? We've been [6332.0s] monopolizing. There's three of us in one room. [6334.0s] You talk. [6336.0s] It's a great question and the answer is [6338.0s] I don't know. [6340.0s] Because it's been very busy lately and [6342.0s] I haven't had time to think about it. [6344.0s] Tom's Game, which is the [6346.0s] Patreon exclusive game The Adventures of [6348.0s] will be continuing with [6350.0s] Opal, Elia, and Night Hunter [6352.0s] because we love them so very dearly. [6354.0s] We've just gotten started on that love story [6356.0s] and we know how it ends [6358.0s] but now we're doing the flashback. [6360.0s] Gotta do the middle. Exactly. [6362.0s] Gotta see it unfold. [6364.0s] That will continue to exist [6366.0s] in the world that we have built. [6368.0s] There are clear connections to [6370.0s] everything that's happened so maybe we'll see those characters [6372.0s] over there at some point too. [6374.0s] Yeah, there's still a lot of journey [6376.0s] for those characters. [6378.0s] You have timey wimey stuff. [6380.0s] There can also be interdimensional things that happen. [6382.0s] You never know what might pop up. [6384.0s] Russ, I'll have to show you my PowerPoint [6386.0s] over interdimensional travel. [6388.0s] It's really, really riveting. [6390.0s] Wait, it's one slide is and it just says [6392.0s] why aren't you doing it, you loser? [6394.0s] I can't get one past you anymore, can I? [6396.0s] It's obviously very convincing. [6398.0s] It was very convincing. [6400.0s] It made me laugh hard. [6402.0s] That's the point. [6404.0s] It's supposed to make you laugh. [6406.0s] You know what, that's so stupid [6408.0s] but you're right. [6410.0s] Let's do it. [6412.0s] Why aren't I doing it? [6414.0s] Next day, jump 10 years. [6416.0s] Here we go. [6418.0s] I think Kyle's a bad influence on you. [6420.0s] I think so too. [6422.0s] Absolutely 100%. [6424.0s] A little aside, [6426.0s] if you're ever dealing with time travel, [6428.0s] never jump into the future. [6430.0s] Never do it ever again. [6432.0s] Jump to the past. Do it. [6434.0s] That's fine because it's already written. [6436.0s] You don't have to come up with everything [6438.0s] for the last 10 years. [6440.0s] Going to the past is great. [6442.0s] I can attest to that. [6444.0s] One more question from Iraq [6446.0s] about the city that is being built [6448.0s] in y'all's new season, [6450.0s] for y'all's new season. [6452.0s] Dicktown. [6454.0s] What is Dicktown built on? [6456.0s] Rock and roll. [6458.0s] It's built on rock and roll. [6460.0s] Thank you, that's what we were looking at. [6462.0s] Absolutely built on rock and roll. [6464.0s] Yeah, that's great. [6466.0s] So what I mean, [6468.0s] is it on a [6470.0s] landlocked, [6472.0s] is it in a landlocked continent? [6474.0s] It's near a river. [6476.0s] It is landlocked. [6478.0s] There's the Mii Mountain [6480.0s] off into the [6482.0s] west. [6484.0s] There is, what is it called? [6486.0s] Can we share? [6488.0s] Since you've used something [6490.0s] that created the city, is that something [6492.0s] that you can share? [6494.0s] TM. [6496.0s] Not in the game. [6498.0s] And it is beautiful. [6500.0s] So I think Ross might be about [6502.0s] to share it with you. [6504.0s] We've spent a lot of time [6506.0s] watching each other try to move [6508.0s] small images [6510.0s] across the screen. [6512.0s] Just make basic shapes and move them. [6514.0s] It was really something. [6516.0s] My whiteboard function stopped working [6518.0s] like 20 minutes into the call and I was like [6520.0s] what are they talking about? I don't have any of this stuff. [6522.0s] It was behind the lake and he's like [6524.0s] what are you saying? [6526.0s] There was no lake. [6528.0s] Are we seeing the thing? [6530.0s] I see the thing. [6532.0s] Can we get a close up on the dick? [6534.0s] Enhance. [6536.0s] Enhance, yes. [6538.0s] Also, if any of these [6540.0s] names or images [6542.0s] pop up anywhere, [6544.0s] shame on you. [6546.0s] Shame. [6548.0s] It's really [6550.0s] funny that Jel got a [6552.0s] peen in there because when I was thinking about [6554.0s] the Land of Beats art from [6556.0s] Bombarded, I wanted to take the shape [6558.0s] of the highway [6560.0s] system around DFW for [6562.0s] inspiration and then I looked at it and [6564.0s] shaped like a dick. [6566.0s] Yeah. [6568.0s] And I was like well [6570.0s] maybe I shouldn't. [6572.0s] You know when it happens. [6574.0s] We set it up purposely though. [6576.0s] I was like [6578.0s] and I mean mount me. [6580.0s] Mount me. [6582.0s] Which is apparently a mountain range [6584.0s] in Australia. [6586.0s] Very exciting. [6588.0s] Art imitating life. How about that? [6590.0s] So that's it. [6592.0s] Now stopping screen sharing because [6594.0s] Standard Jess is screenshotting [6596.0s] things. [6598.0s] Shame. [6600.0s] Shame. Intellectual property and [6602.0s] stuff. We are recording [6604.0s] this so I guess we're okay. [6606.0s] We don't need to mail it to ourselves. [6610.0s] Moving into our final [6612.0s] section of the night. We have some comments [6614.0s] from our near and dear friends. [6616.0s] Russ, it seems like you want to have [6618.0s] the cast read through some of these. [6620.0s] Yeah I want them to cry. [6622.0s] Y'all want to roll initiative [6624.0s] for it one last time before [6626.0s] moving into season 3. [6628.0s] Thank you. Good idea. [6630.0s] Dice out. [6632.0s] There's dice in that box there. [6634.0s] Oh you get to see my box in person. [6636.0s] It's beautiful. It's more beautiful than I could [6638.0s] have imagined. [6640.0s] Oh my god hello. [6642.0s] Gorgeous. [6644.0s] Maybe they'll roll better for you. [6646.0s] You roll in the middle. [6648.0s] Carla, what are you doing? [6650.0s] I don't know how your fancy box works. [6652.0s] Oh what? [6654.0s] Guys it's a 20. [6656.0s] I rolled a 10. [6658.0s] Carla got a 10. [6660.0s] Of course. [6662.0s] One baby. [6664.0s] The tables have turned. [6666.0s] The tides have changed. [6668.0s] Season 3 is here baby. [6670.0s] Russ got a 1. [6672.0s] So Amy, why don't you kick it off? [6674.0s] What? On Earth? [6676.0s] Yeah you got the highest mission. [6678.0s] Is that where winning is? [6680.0s] You get to go first. [6682.0s] I didn't expect that. [6684.0s] No. [6686.0s] Does that mean I get to choose the one? [6688.0s] I guess you can if you want to. [6690.0s] Yeah you can choose whichever. [6692.0s] That's the beauty of it. You get to go first [6694.0s] so you get to pick the one. [6696.0s] It's like being the team captain [6698.0s] in drag race. You get to pick your team. [6700.0s] Nice. [6702.0s] All right. [6704.0s] Charisma. No. [6706.0s] Do we want to say who it's from? [6710.0s] Yeah everybody's giving me okay to say it. [6714.0s] Otherwise they wouldn't put their name to it. [6716.0s] This one's from LA. [6718.0s] And LA says [6720.0s] You should all be proud. [6722.0s] It's clear how much heart went [6724.0s] into everything, Dumbgeons and Dragons. [6726.0s] You all have completed not one [6728.0s] but two entire long [6730.0s] forum campaigns and it all [6732.0s] kept getting better. I'm excited [6734.0s] to learn what's next. [6736.0s] We love you. [6738.0s] That's nice. [6740.0s] Tom you're up next. [6742.0s] I've got that if you want to hold it closer to your face. [6744.0s] I'm up. Okay this one's from [6746.0s] Jess. I just wanted to take a [6748.0s] moment to thank you all for everything. The amazing [6750.0s] storytelling. You've all taken the time [6752.0s] to contribute to the welcoming [6754.0s] community. I've had the absolute [6756.0s] pleasure to be part of and just the overall positive [6758.0s] influence. Each and every one of you [6760.0s] and the community included has been in my life [6762.0s] these past years. [6764.0s] Thanks Jess. [6766.0s] Absolutely. [6768.0s] Fill my heart [6770.0s] with joy every [6772.0s] damn day. [6774.0s] Well Carla that [6776.0s] you're up next in the order. [6778.0s] I've got so many options. [6780.0s] You can scroll [6782.0s] at your heart's content. [6784.0s] Okay. [6786.0s] Well I kind of just want to read Faust the heavenly [6788.0s] demonic monster because their name is Faust [6790.0s] the heavenly demonic monster. [6792.0s] So let's go with that. [6794.0s] Russ for every NPC [6796.0s] you introduce and the variety of character you [6798.0s] bring to each of them. Nothing made me smile [6800.0s] more than knowing you had a gimmick or quirk [6802.0s] picked out for very specific ones [6804.0s] and watching the group either scratch their [6806.0s] heads or become disdained by [6808.0s] your presence. [6810.0s] It has been an honor and a joy to have listened [6812.0s] to you for all these years. Thank you [6814.0s] so much for your dedication and time. [6816.0s] So [6818.0s] disdain. [6820.0s] There was [6822.0s] almost never no reaction. [6824.0s] Either we were like we love you. [6826.0s] You're one of us or like oh my god. [6828.0s] Get away from. Burn it with fire. [6830.0s] I guess you're also one of us. [6832.0s] God we're so accepting. [6834.0s] Oh boy. [6836.0s] Okay my turn. [6838.0s] Victor [6840.0s] loved the show. Loved the chemistry [6842.0s] and storytelling. I love [6844.0s] listening to new episodes right [6846.0s] after they come out. [6848.0s] That's really nice. That feels like [6850.0s] I praise because I got a long queue [6852.0s] myself. Oh yes. Yeah. [6854.0s] Yeah. Absolutely. [6856.0s] Awesome. Awesome. Well [6858.0s] you know what I'll jump in here. [6860.0s] I'm going to jump in there as a regular [6862.0s] cast member. You should definitely be the real one. [6864.0s] I'm going to take what's mine. [6866.0s] No. Brian [6868.0s] says [6870.0s] I've been playing D&D since 2.5. [6872.0s] I've fought Tiamat and died [6874.0s] gloriously. I absolutely [6876.0s] love how the Destiny's children [6878.0s] were the only party ever to my [6880.0s] knowledge to befriend and get gifts [6882.0s] from the mighty Tiamat. An amazing [6884.0s] twist. Love y'all. [6886.0s] Keep it up. Yeah. [6888.0s] It's all about when you interact with these things. [6890.0s] How they're doing. Because if they need [6892.0s] something from you they're happy to play ball. [6894.0s] Yes. You know how long it took us to like talk with [6896.0s] things? Oh so long. [6898.0s] We get to the end of something and rest [6900.0s] and be like you didn't even ask their names. [6902.0s] Yeah. I think [6904.0s] it was yeah that session we played with [6906.0s] Doc where I was like so [6908.0s] you know how you walk into a bar and [6910.0s] talk to people? No. Never [6912.0s] ever. No. No. [6914.0s] We don't know how to interact. We're going to do that with everybody [6916.0s] now okay. And I forced [6918.0s] them. And now we do it too [6920.0s] much so. And now I know how [6922.0s] to socialize so. You're welcome [6924.0s] everybody. [6926.0s] This is your oyster at this point. [6928.0s] Are we back to the top? [6930.0s] Are we continuing on? Back to the top. [6932.0s] We're just reading. We're reading the [6934.0s] we're patting each other on the back now. [6936.0s] Okay I'll read [6938.0s] Lord Arachans. [6940.0s] Just got home from my ride [6942.0s] and listened to the campaign's ending episode. [6944.0s] Like Jess. [6946.0s] I was moved [6948.0s] right off the bat. Such tender [6950.0s] roles playing between Amy and Tom. [6952.0s] I'd like to think I could pull something off [6954.0s] but I'm pretty sure I'd force a dick joke [6956.0s] in. Just because [6958.0s] I was uncomfortable with sincerity. [6960.0s] It's hard to get past. [6962.0s] The discussions [6964.0s] of power, divinity, and what to do [6966.0s] with such things will have me contemplating [6968.0s] for some time. I may still [6970.0s] be influenced [6972.0s] to bring some of those ideas into my campaign. [6974.0s] Carla playing Glim's [6976.0s] journey from Bahamaniac [6978.0s] to the final discussion of gods [6980.0s] and their power was such [6982.0s] an important part of the campaign. [6984.0s] It made the party's final decisions [6986.0s] natural and believable. [6988.0s] I held it together until Kavin McLeod's [6990.0s] long road ahead began to swell. [6992.0s] Beautiful Russ [6994.0s] beautiful Russ work. Beautiful Russ work. [6996.0s] Beautiful Russ work. [6998.0s] See I can't even do it on purpose. [7000.0s] Beautiful work Russ. [7002.0s] And I absolutely lost it. I had to [7004.0s] stop riding and wait for the entire [7006.0s] episode to end. Happy tears [7008.0s] feel so cathartic. Such a [7010.0s] perfect listen on a spectacular fall day. [7012.0s] Thank you so much to everyone involved. [7014.0s] You, like this community, [7016.0s] have made my life better. [7018.0s] Aww. [7020.0s] Yes. [7022.0s] Very nice. [7024.0s] Aww man. [7026.0s] Alright I guess I'm up last here. [7028.0s] This is from Hannah. [7030.0s] I started listening to you in January [7032.0s] of 2021 and I plowed through all [7034.0s] of your content and got current within a [7036.0s] year which is absolutely [7038.0s] wild. That's commitment. [7040.0s] I assure you I was listening non-stop. [7042.0s] Yeah. Absolutely. [7044.0s] I can truly say that [7046.0s] after all that y'all feel like family [7048.0s] and I appreciate the dynamic you guys [7050.0s] facilitate on the show. Forever my [7052.0s] favorite podcast. Thank you Hannah. [7054.0s] That's so nice. [7056.0s] We got another one in the Q&A [7058.0s] from Kat Waterflame. Carla [7060.0s] can you see that there? Would you like to read it? [7062.0s] Yes. [7064.0s] I absolutely love listening to your show [7066.0s] because it's so easy to tell how much you love [7068.0s] and adore each other. Your friendship [7070.0s] leads over into your characters in such a [7072.0s] wonderful way. Thank you for sharing your [7074.0s] stories and bits of your lives with us. You are [7076.0s] truly a light in the darkness. [7078.0s] Kat! [7080.0s] Come on Kat. [7082.0s] You. [7084.0s] I see there's one [7086.0s] final question there Kyle. [7088.0s] Before we walk on a path, [7090.0s] Lawrence wants to know, at the end of season 2 [7092.0s] it sounded like there was one set of feet [7094.0s] walking a path. Was there a [7096.0s] hidden meaning there? [7098.0s] Night Hunter was carrying [7100.0s] everyone the whole time. [7102.0s] Everyone, every single person. [7104.0s] One set of footprints in the sand. [7106.0s] I... [7108.0s] I'm sorry. I have to make a joke [7110.0s] when things are feeling real. [7112.0s] I wanted [7114.0s] to like [7116.0s] yeah so everything [7118.0s] fades to black and everybody [7120.0s] is teleported to [7122.0s] their respective places. [7124.0s] It was tough to [7126.0s] have [7128.0s] a dozen sets of [7130.0s] feet walking. [7132.0s] But one person I think [7134.0s] was going to lead that [7136.0s] group onto whatever [7138.0s] comes next. And I felt like that was [7140.0s] Thea. [7142.0s] It was on the outskirts of a [7144.0s] town, an unnamed town. [7146.0s] Everybody appears [7148.0s] who wanted to be there because Night Hunter [7150.0s] wanted to go back to Elia. [7154.0s] And the [7156.0s] single set was the person [7158.0s] taking that first step into [7160.0s] whatever is next for them. [7162.0s] Which we have found is just [7164.0s] a whole bunch of potlucks and [7166.0s] Baba Yaga in the forest. But [7168.0s] I mean it sounds great. [7170.0s] Yeah. Sign me up. [7172.0s] Yeah. [7174.0s] Thank you everybody. [7176.0s] Yes, thank you everyone. [7178.0s] That's the questions [7180.0s] for all this. [7182.0s] I hope all the people in [7184.0s] the chat and everyone who joined [7186.0s] us tonight, you got your answers [7188.0s] questioned. And man, like [7190.0s] I gotta say, I know [7192.0s] I'm a [7194.0s] de facto member more or [7196.0s] less and really appreciate getting to [7198.0s] be in on this opportunity. [7200.0s] Y'all obviously have some amazing fans [7202.0s] that care about you, really love [7204.0s] the stories that you're telling. It's very [7206.0s] apparent how much y'all care about them. So [7208.0s] it's an honor and a privilege for me to [7210.0s] get to be a part of something like that. So thank [7212.0s] y'all. Thank you. [7214.0s] Thank you for being here. Thank you sincerely [7216.0s] for coming along with everything. [7218.0s] Absolutely. [7220.0s] Fuck you, you're making me [7222.0s] cry. [7226.0s] Ah, shit. [7228.0s] No. [7230.0s] It wouldn't have been the same literally [7232.0s] without you in the season. [7234.0s] So thank you and thank you [7236.0s] everybody for [7238.0s] supporting us for so long. Like I think back [7240.0s] to the Q&A for season one, which admittedly [7242.0s] was four years ago, but there [7244.0s] are names in the chat [7246.0s] that were there when we recorded [7248.0s] that Q&A. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. [7250.0s] Which means you've been part of our Patreon [7252.0s] community for that long because that's who [7254.0s] got invited to them, right? [7256.0s] Yeah. Yeah. There are some folks [7258.0s] that have been with us for [7260.0s] so long. It's [7262.0s] great. Yeah. Yeah. So thank you [7264.0s] everybody. Found family. Yeah. [7266.0s] Can't wait for season three. [7268.0s] In the off season, like we are [7270.0s] intending to start season three by [7272.0s] January of 2024. [7274.0s] So in the off season there's going to be [7276.0s] lots of fun stuff. We recorded a Halloween [7278.0s] special with Kyle. Yeah, we did. [7280.0s] Yeah, that was so good. [7282.0s] We did some cool [7284.0s] some fun [7286.0s] Grant Howitt [7288.0s] one shots. There's going to be lots [7290.0s] of Patreon stuff that we're just kind of filtering [7292.0s] in trying to get people tell all your friends [7294.0s] that's cool. That kind of vibe. [7296.0s] And probably [7298.0s] record a couple of things leading up to that [7300.0s] before we really dive in and know what we're [7302.0s] doing for season three. But yeah, we're excited. [7304.0s] We can't wait. [7306.0s] Yeah. So thank you. Thank you everybody. [7308.0s] We love you all. We love you so much. [7310.0s] Thanks everyone. Thank you all. [7312.0s] And with that we will [7314.0s] leave you to go to bed [7316.0s] at your respective times. It's probably [7318.0s] past midnight for many of you in the East [7320.0s] Coast. And we will [7322.0s] see you all in the Discord [7324.0s] and at the next Goo Kang [7326.0s] and Game Time and all that some fun stuff. [7328.0s] That's all continuing. So thank [7330.0s] you all. This isn't goodbye. It's see you [7332.0s] later. Yeah, that's right. [7334.0s] Love you friends. You have a great week and we'll talk [7336.0s] to you soon. Love you guys. [7338.0s] Bye. [7340.0s] Bye. [7342.0s] Dungeons [7344.0s] and Dragons. [7346.0s] The Q&A to [7348.0s] put a bow on it. What did we call [7350.0s] this episode? I don't know. [7352.0s] It's the end of season two. As we have said [7354.0s] many, many times already. [7356.0s] Thank you so much for being with us along this ride. [7358.0s] Huge thank you to all [7360.0s] of our guests who [7362.0s] we have had along on this [7364.0s] journey. An amazing thank you [7366.0s] to all of our patrons. All [7368.0s] 200 plus of you that have [7370.0s] joined us in and out throughout season one [7372.0s] and two. You are [7374.0s] there are no [7376.0s] words to say how wonderful [7378.0s] you are for coming along on this journey [7380.0s] and supporting us in this story that we're [7382.0s] all telling together. I want to say [7384.0s] a big thank you to Amy, Tom, [7386.0s] Carla and Kyle for joining me here [7388.0s] not just tonight but for [7390.0s] the last many years [7392.0s] collectively. It's been [7394.0s] a wild ride and we can't [7396.0s] wait to tell a new story in season [7398.0s] three which as we said should drop [7400.0s] in the feed in January [7402.0s] but don't worry there will be lots of content [7404.0s] coming out between now and then [7406.0s] with some Halloween specials and some [7408.0s] fun Christmas special we're planning. [7410.0s] And if you just can't get enough [7412.0s] we'd love to have you over on Patreon. [7414.0s] Episodes of our The Adventures [7416.0s] of series continue [7418.0s] throughout the next few months. Nothing [7420.0s] stopping there. We have monthly gook hangs [7422.0s] we have live shows scheduled. [7424.0s] We have so much happening [7426.0s] in the community and we can't [7428.0s] wait for it all. Patreon.com [7430.0s] slash DumbDragonCast. [7432.0s] We really hope to see you over there [7434.0s] and we're super excited for season [7436.0s] three. Can't wait! [7438.0s] Alright, that's it from me. You have [7440.0s] a great week. Halloween episodes [7442.0s] coming out next week. I gotta go [7444.0s] get started on that. We'll talk to you soon. [7446.0s] Bye!
